   Granted, but the velocity they're falling at is at worst, a rain of bullets and at least a right vicious hailstorm. Many are injured in the resulting several hour long unnatural weather & the layer of sugary shrapnel on the ground gives the insects a hayday  and a resultant uncontrollable infestation for months to come.
