I dunno... what's your favorite cute AJ scene in the show? What you have in common with her? Which one of her relationships you like the most? When you started to like her? Right now my head hurts too much to think, sorry XD

 

For the first one, difficult to say. There're quite a few, but I might go with just how welcoming and happy she was in Pinkie Apple Pie when she found out she and Pinkie might've been cousins. A lot of people wouldn't care about being someone's millionth cousin, five times removed, but you could tell that Applejack was genuinely happy both for herself and Pinkie, and wanted her to feel as welcome as any of the rest of her relatives. So today we've learned that sincerity is cute, I guess?

There're a lot of ways that I wish I could be more like Applejack, and I don't feel super worthy to compare the two of us. Her integrity, work ethic, energy, compassion, all of those are on an entirely different level from mine. I am able to relate to her as an oldest sibling who's had to deal with all sorts of fun family issues and try to sort them out as best I can. Not on the level of anything that Applejack's gone through of course, but I've had a decent share of responsibility dumped on me at times and I try to be a good big brother. Depending on the thing, I've also been known to overwork myself and beat the hell out of myself when things don't work out. My tendencies to be a lazy bum balance this out, I think . Still though, stuff like Applebuck Season and Apple Family Reunion can still be pretty relatable for me.

 

For relationships, most any interaction between her and Rarity is gold. Simple Ways less so, but they can usually bounce off each other in entertaining and memorable ways.

 

I think I always liked Applejack, but growing to appreciate her as much as I do now has definitely taken time. It's also taken help from friends like Clarity, Stellafera and Sugar Cube, but it's been a fun and rewarding journey. The Last Roundup probably kicked me a little towards realizing that I'd been partially overlooking a really terrific character, and her fantastic Seasons 3 and 4 have only helped me along the way. And she's ended up as my second favorite pony

Welp, Applejack is just barely ahead of everypony else in the vote, but Rarity and Pinkie Pie are in a dead heat!

So I saw a thread that was "What would yo do if the worst happened?" Which was one of the mane 6 was removed or they were all removed. Since this is the Applejack Fan Club how would you feel if Applejack got removed?

 

I would feel like we were missing a part of the family and feel pretty sad watching the show.

I'd probably stop watching the show. Yeah, I started to watch it for fun, but I stayed for characters, especially for Applejack. It wouldn't be the same for me and I'd see no reason to stay in the fandom.

2. I relate a lot to her character flaws and her integrity. I tend to feel like if I'm not doing EVERYTHING (and often I'm not) I'm being a lazy irresponsible bum. As far as integrity goes, one of the things is that I don't do "brutal honesty", because I'm honestly happy with people a lot of the time and will tell them so to their faces. I will also gently tell them when I think they've gone wrong because I would want to know if people were mad at me, but honesty's so interconnected with niceness in my mind that I consider it one of my cardinal virtues.

 

And I, uh... have her hair color.

Yea, I've done the same thing this time around basically. Voted and then moved on. If people want to continue arguing and bickering over who killed... er should have won the last round, then let them. AJ has my vote, that's all that matters to me now.

If she got removed, I would be sad.  Veruh sad.  Because while I relate to all the characters, and love them all greatly, I can relate to the down-to-earth-ness and honesty that AJ stands for.

And she's a country pony, and I'm a country pony.
