Do you guys think that after Rares popularity seems to have greatly increased this season that it will stay that way in the future? I can already see in my crystal ball that after an episode where her flaws are more prominently displayed, almost all people who started to like her during season four will start to dislike her again, shrinking her fanbase to the hardcore fans again.   Or is it just me being too pessimistic? Am i unfair to the fanbase by saying such things? Would really like your opinion on that.

I think that there will always be people who only like the "perfect" members of the Mane Six, but that there will also be those--like most of us here --who will stick with our favs no matter what light they are portrayed in, because we know better.  It's not exactly unfair; there are plenty of people who would do that.  But that's not important.  We love Rarity because of who we know she is, not because of how this or that episode shows her. Whatever the flak any of us may receive later for liking Rarity, I hope we all stay her supporters and fans.

 I don't think anyone is going to immediately dislike her just for one bad episode. Except of course the people who are pretty much dead set on disliking her anyway, and they'll never be convinced. It would have to be something really awful to make me dislike her. Like, burning down orphanages kind of awful.

Yeah, Rares is the prime reason i got into the show and the fandom, i doubt the writers could, or would ever do something that could make me dislike her. I just like her way too much, her character, her flaws and her many virtues.

As a Hard Military Science Fiction writer...this is by far my FAV Rarity pic...Already posed it once, and its my avatar now, but here she is in all her Bad*ss glory.

 

I normally don't care for ponies with guns, but that artist is probably my only exception. I mean check these out, some more oldies but goodies.

And side note, but wow those ginormous vector pics bog stuff down while trying to scroll when they are linked. Too bad this site doesn't scale them down to previews like it does uploaded stuff. I have gigs of free ram, but I guess that doesn't matter. It's only there for bragging rights.

Yeah, people need to get really creative to find reasons to hate her now. But it's not like they needed real reasons to hate her to begin with, nor did they really have any in the past.

 

But, well, Rarity is our goddess and they can hate her as much as they want, they will never change that. Nor will they change how she REALLY is. A great friend and pony.

Probably not. I think they'll want to keep the comics separate from the show so it doesn't get too confusing.

 

Though I think that Luna having a pet opossum should be totally canon.

I don't like NMR...if you're going to make my waifu a villain, at least make it a quality comic The writing was horrid, and the resolution was insultingly cliche...I have no clue why it was so popular...
