You know what? This is long overdue... it's time I came here and posted. Both to share in the love, and confess my (probably) unforgivable sins.

 

When I first started watching this show, I didn't like Rarity. At all. And yes, it was for all of the same reasons that I'm sure most of you have heard dozens and dozens of times. I was, unfortunately, one of THOSE people.

 

 

 

But I guess it was only a matter of time before I gained some perspective, and, well, I have it now. I look back on my past statements on her character with shame and regret. There was a LOT more to her than I gave her credit for, and I've recently realized that it wasn't just this season's episodes that made that so. (Though she has just been KILLING it this season, make no mistake.) Season 4 has added some new material, but that depth was always there to some extent.

 

It was inevitable. She's not my #1 fav (currently knocking on the door for #2, to be specific), but Rarity has won me over. Score another one for the good guys.

 

Good to be here. Better late than never.

Rarity wasn't my favorite at first either(I didn't hate her) but I saw some interesting reviews of her on youtube from people who thought she was best pony and watched more episodes centered around her and I realized she was a lot like other artists I'v met. Seemly shallow and self centered on the outside but a soft and generous heart on the inside. She is a complex character with a lot of emotion and attention to detail like myself so I relate to her on that level. I wish we would see her do more magic on the show besides just levitating objects with her magic.
