I never knew that Ghost. Shared memories are what hold our hearts together.

This may come across as a rambling post, but here goes.

There were several constants in my life. Robin Williams was one of them. I was born just as his star was rising, so my entire conscious life he was there. My father loved the man, and even debated teenage me about the virtues of Popeye. I was allowed to watch his stand-up, HBO Comic Relief, etc

His filmography mirrors so many moments in my life its kicking my ass right now. After learning that my parents were divorcing and I was staying with my Dad. He must have been half out of his mind trying to cheer me up near the holidays, and as a 10 year old kid took me to the theater to see several films. One was my first R rated film. Good Morning Vietnam. That was when my love for his genius began. So many films to mention. So many smiles, and flat out belly laughs.

The memories continued.

My first high school movie date was to see Aladdin. My Dad and I watched Nine Months when I was with him that summer in Europe. He never got a chance to see another Robin Williams film with me. My future wife and I saw What Dreams May Come ... well some memories our just for me. From there on it became a tradition to see all his films with her. When we had kids. I introduced them to Robin Williams and they also fell in love. From my Dad to me to them.

In early 2010 I bought my wife tickets to what would be his last Live Show. It was a birthday present. When Robin had a heart attack they postponed the show. He had the surgery and recovered. My wife and I attended his last performance in October of 2010. She is sitting behind me as I type this and wants to make sure I say that it was the best birthday gift anyone could have given her.

I am having a really hard time putting what an actor and comedian means to me in words, but I am proof positive that art and comedy can have a influence on a person. Some saccharine side of me wants to believe that I am a goofy dork because of artists like him. Not sure what that says about me, but there is probably some truth to that. I never knew the man, but somehow I counted him as an absentee friend. He did make my life happier whenever he stopped my on the TV, or I visited his house at the Theater.

I once said to my wife that I have a Comedy Mount Rushmore. Robin Williams is on it ... with Richard Pryor ... and George Carlin.

Robin Williams ... your laughter is threaded through my past, my love, and my family. You have always been my favorite funny man.

I think that is all I can type for now.

And Ghostie, since we haven't had an official indoctrination ceremony of anyone yet. Williams shall be the first. This picture supports it.

Imagine if you will being on your death bed – And standing around your bed – the ghosts of the ideas, the dreams, the abilities, the talents given to you by life.

And that you for whatever reason, you never acted on those ideas, you never pursued that dream, you never used those talents, we never saw your leadership, you never used your voice, you never wrote that book.

And there they are standing around your bed looking at you with large angry eyes saying "We came to you, and only you could have given us life! But now. We must die with you FOREVER!

The question is – if you die today, what ideas, what dreams, what abilities, what talents, what gifts, would die with you?

Woo hoo! Woohoo is back! How was the island vacation?

Wasn't really an island vacation, it was more of a boat vacation.

Speaking of boats.

Hmmm .... Should one of us make a blog post to start housing the 'HOF' recipients? Also what should we call it officially ...

I assume that the requirements to get in would center around Art, Fabulousness, and Generosity. If a potential inductee meets the criteria we cab all weigh in and add then to the official blog post.

I don't know if it is a good idea to start posting here again when everyone is mourning... heck i don't know if it is a good idea for me to start posting again alltogether...

Well, anyway...

I came to the realisation that i don't go to bed like people usually do.

Other people might just shut their eyes and are instantly asleep, some might think about things they want to do the next day, some just wait until the dreamscape claims them, not thinking at all, all the while.

I don't do any of that.

I open doors. I open doors to fantasy worlds. Fantasy worlds i invented myself, with characters i invented myself. I create stories in my mind until i fall asleep. Every night i did this, for as long as i remember.

Something changed a few years ago. All my fantasy fabrications only revolve around one creature now. Always. May it be a adventure story, a romantic one, a film noire, a fantasy epic.

That creature is of course Rarity. I weave the most intricate stories about her before i fall asleep. Every story i make revolves around her exploits as a artist, warrior, queen, spy, adventurer, lover, and much more...

Strange thing to explain i guess...

I've always had some appreciation for Rarity honestly. I think my first experience with that was with how Rarity dealt with the Diamond Dogs. She was kinda...badass. lol

Dang you're lucky.  When I sleep, I have to shut my eyes uncomfortably for 2 hours, thinking about the past and Photoshop. It sucks.  ^_^

EDIT: I just broke the system.

Dedication! You know, I haven't had a single MLP related dream at all yet. Most of my dreams that I remember are a historical or family related nature. I'm boring as hell I suppose. And a bit jealous of you all.

, that episode was easily one of the best Rarity eps, and took some focus off of her element and art to tackle an assumption everyone had of characters like her.

A little bit like Testing 1,2,3 was with Dash which gave me a little peek into another aspect of the her I hadn't seen much of. I've always said that the show is best when it makes a glancing pass at a character -- pulling back just enough to allow the audience to run with it.

Not sure what is supposed to be going on here (probably a double 'whoooooo' ghost story moment) ... but it sure is cute. Maybe they are practicing for a game of Mario Kart. :D

I did not even find her complaining annoying, like many do, she sounded so cute to me.post-25189-0-79425100-1406301242.png
