ReGen 1,466 January 30, 2013 Share January 30, 2013 (edited) Now this neccessarily isn't a bad thing, but i'm just curious.I've noticed that i'm naturally a happy person. That's a good thing, right? Well, yeah, but i'm happy 96% of the time. The odd part of that is I don't really know what the cause. I never had anybody tell me to be happy all the time (Not even my parents). I have many acquaintances but only about 1-3 real friends and i've never been within the blast radius of a Sonic Rainboom. Yet I always find myself half-full. I'm always listening to happy/uplifting music and it's almost impossible for me to enjoy anything dark. I'm like Pinkie Pie. And whenever I see someone who appears to be sad, I always try my best to make them feel better to the point of being annoying. I was just wondering if anybody else feels like they’re like this and they don’t know why. Betez 1,734 January 30, 2013 Share January 30, 2013 At times, I do feel like this. Although I don't really question why. I'll just be glad I'm happy. I'm not a Psychologist, or an expert in emotions, so I really don't know why people are happy for no known reason. But like I said, I'm not complaining. 1 My OC Stay pony my friends"And ALWAYS remember...to never forget." - Someone who I'm sure has said this before I did
Scootalove 10,689 January 30, 2013 Share January 30, 2013 Usually I have mixed emotions with friends, people always think I look mad or sad. Its only because, I lost my smile because of school. 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Jammo 986 January 30, 2013 Share January 30, 2013 Better way to live if you ask me. Cynics often have miserable lives. It's important to understand and recognize that there are terrible things in the world, but not let them blind you to all the good things. Be happy, try to be nice to people and look for the best in things, without being naive to the bad. Do the best you can and not fret over the bad stuff, because the bad stuff wins if you let them affect you.
Shanks 10,816 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 Alot of times I wish I was but sadly I have not been that way for quite a number of years, sure not everything with me is doom and gloom but I do have a somewhat cynical side of me but it is not nearly as bad as it used to be and MLP has helped with that. I have been through quite a bit in my life and it has made me stronger but it has also taken away though not completely quite a bit of that in me. Zygen 6,066 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 My emotions can be quiet random, so I'll say that there are days where i feel kinda like this, I'll smile alot and just wanna go around spreading joy, yet the next day I could be like depressed . I don't think anythings wrong with it at all, sounds like your a pretty awesome person actually . Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! khaine21x3 789 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 @, There is nothing wrong with that, you should cherish being able to be happy most of the time as most people are probably unhappy 96% of the time instead.
~Master~ Button Mash 2,307 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 (edited) You're a naturally happy and joyous person. You should feel blessed! I'm not like that. I'm in the middle, somewhere. Happy sometimes, sad sometimes, neutral sometimes. I do try to stay optimistic in life, though. THE WILD HUNT 213 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 I'm kinda like that. Some days I'll be in a good mood for no apparent reason, and actually get more happy and rather hyper as the day progresses (until I fall asleep for a nap, in which case my behavior seems to change drastically for no reason at all). SparklingTwilight 109 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 I'm not like that most of the time. Actually, I'd say I'm only happy about 65% of the time, probably 10% of the time sad and the rest just neutral. That's mainly because of school, though, on the holidays I'm happy at least 85% of the time. ~Sig by Kyoshi.
SrFrog 927 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 Aw man, I'm like the exact opposite of that most of the time. It's not like I wanna pass off as a totally serious person but y'know, that's how most people really learn to see me as. Maybe that's a good thing? nah, but than that's why It's difficult for me to make friends. "Never give no manipulative bitch the benefit of the doubt" - Compa's grandpa... Broccoli 127 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 (edited) When I feel happy, I always know why I'm happy, and how long I might stay happy for. I'm usually in a good mood, or neutral. Busy from schoolwork, but not upset over anything either. Many people tend to have pessimistic thoughts easily (like me), so if you can stay happy almost all the time, you should be happy that you are able to stay happy all the time, but chances are, you are already happy about being able to be that way! Night Shine 767 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 O.O Can we be friends? x3 That said; I actually am a really weird case as far as happiness. In the day, I'm several different flavors of depressed--bitter and angry, empty and sad, emotionless and numb... HOWEBER! :3 In the night, I'm exactly what you're describin', bro. I'M SO HAPPY I COULD JUST BURST!!!!! 8D
StingeMuffin 244 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 My mood seems to cycle between happiness and depression in a 80/20 split. I'll discover something that I think is awesome and will feel elated and happy for a week, or longer depending on what it is, but for some reason I'll reach a point where I feel guilty about liking it, and feel like an idiot for enjoying myself so much. I'll feel depressed and blank for perhaps a day or two, then I'll snap back and be happy again. **Initially I typed that I'm happy 95% of the time, then I lowered it to 90%, and then to 80%... so much for optimism. Replicant 113 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 I had to logic myself into being as happy as I am. I don't have an especially difficult life, but I get depressed when things start getting stressful. Like even minutely stressful. I realize how stupid it is, but you try telling that to yourself while you can't motivate yourself to move for hours except to go to work. It's really hard. That said, nothing brings me greater joy than being kind to others and helping people. I believe strongly in the idea that what goes around will come around; I believe in fate as an unavoidable and unknowable path through life; I believe there is no life after death. These things make me extremely happy, so... yeah. I logic myself into happiness.

Bruno © 125 January 31, 2013 Share January 31, 2013 I don't know if i can relate to you, but i'm very happy,i don't see a reason to get sad, i mean,i know that my life may not the best one, but i am very happy with it, i mean, i have very good friends (both here and in real life) i have parents that love me, and care for me, and they give me the opportunity to study in the best school of my city, so i guess i really don't have nothing to complaing about, i would keep an entire day talking about this, but i got lazy, sooo.... I'm like Pinkie Pie. And whenever I see someone who appears to be sad, I always try my best to make them feel better to the point of being annoying. Tacutiemark 27 February 2, 2013 Share February 2, 2013 This is called optomism. Funny, because I have two very different friends in their outview on life. Let me put this metaphorically: One sees the glass completely full, because it has half liquid and half gas. On the other hand, one takes the water and pours it out. And me, I just note that there's water in that glass. I'm kind of a realist, though sometimes to the point where I point out the obvious I admire your optomism though. 1 your daily dose of unoriginality. Stellafera 3,836 February 3, 2013 Share February 3, 2013 (edited) This is me too. It's funny, I didn't use to be like this at all, but two years ago, when I moved to a new school and met new people... yeah, I've changed. And most of the music I listen to is sad; I love things that make me feel all emotional, and I honestly think it's because I'm kind of detached most of the time... I'm just generally in a state of contentment. See, even when I'm thinking about my emotional state like this, I could just bounce right back to being cheery and joking again. Again, until a few years ago, I wasn't like this at all. At first, I was kind of worried about this fact, but you know what, I think it's healthy. I have negative emotions, but I don't let them take me over and worry me sick. I can't even make myself like that anymore! In summary, I'm becoming less cynical and more sunny just as most of my peers are going in the exact opposite direction. I'm cool with that. mycarhasaMoustache 449 February 3, 2013 Share February 3, 2013 Im more like this most of the day/week Im not an unhappy person I just dont like people or conversations when Iv just woken up or people who dont know how to use a f**king turn signal when changing lanes. Cowl 128 February 3, 2013 Share February 3, 2013 I'm a very depressing and sad person to be around. I'm rarely happy, and if I am there is always a reason for it. On the bright side, I tend to be very optimistic. Except when science or logic gives incontrovertible evidence for why you should be pessimistic. And to all things comes an end. We are no more than pages in a book. Turn the page, and thousands die. And for what? For the greed of two powerful leaders. Turn the page and floods, earthquakes and volcanoes are destroying the world. It is a time for acts of despair and of bravery as well. Another turn of the page and countless refugees flee. Is this the end of the story? No. There are countless pages to turn. And to all things comes a beginning!
moneyshredderofdeath 414 February 3, 2013 Share February 3, 2013 I'd consider myself more indifferent feeling than happy. I'm very happy with animals admittedly and that will probably never change, but in general I can be easily drained thus rendered indifferent, although not pessimistic. Mr Dash 1,820 February 3, 2013 Share February 3, 2013 I am quite the happy person. And MLP and this community has given me a renewed sense of happiness. So the happiness has been doubled for me. So to speak. As I got older, I learned to have a more optimistic outlook on life. If things get bad, I know they will get better. I can see all the bad in the world, but the good always shines through. I look toward a bright future. I am usually always smiling, if not on the outside, then on the inside. I wouldn't want my mouth to get stuck. I don't ever wonder why I'm so happy all the time. I just accept it and go on my merry way. I just like being happy. I try not to get in a foul mood or let things get me down, and if it does happen, I always come out of it with a smile. Those moments don't happen often, and they don't last long. I just smile and move on. 2 Like, don't underestimate my power man. Come join us Friday nights for Movie Night @ The CMC Clubhouse: 5pm CST. Lunas Husband 2,777 December 3, 2013 Share December 3, 2013 I'm a happy pony, not 24/7 but I would say 20/5, 20hours a day 5days a week. Because I see I have made others happy! or made others feel loved and that makes me super happy! Or I'm really stoned. "Does not matter what they say, my sweet love!
