Rarity Fixing Her Mane

I haven't finished anything in a while, so I drew this as a test. I was doing something a bit bigger, but due to technical problems, it may or may not be finished.

Ooh, lovely, and very different, very different indeed!  I guess I especially like the shading and how the textures look in the picture, especially on her tail/mane and the magic resonating from her horn.  Excellent work Firebolt!

Yes, it is. It's basically like my hair in the morning. So I wouldn't doubt Rarity's would be like that if she didn't put curlers in it before she goes to bed.

Oh my, her horn looks like it's being powered by a nuclear reactor. It's exploding with energy. (Probably a little to much?)

 

Her mane looks like a total mess, which i guess fits the theme perfectly .

Oh oh oh! Another thing i noticed. - The comb. It really looks as if only the reflection is existant in the picture, and doesn't look like there's an actual comb that rarity is using. ( All in all, the comb is only visible on the mirror). I know you did another reflection of it on the mirror, but it didn't work, i would suggest highering the opacity of colours on the first comb.

The comb has a reflection, but it isn't that visible due to the color of the mirror. Fixing that would mean re-doing to whole mirror, as well as all the magic bits. Plus, I'd have to re-upload it, which would be silly for something so small.

I've never knew that a comb curls your hair/mane. I've always thought it was supposed to be curling irons.

Well, I'll be damn. This really does look pretty, I feel bad for Rarity's mane though. She will fix it up with magic, but you know I am really impressed Firebolt. It's a good thing that I can't hate Canada.

I'm guessing that shes like using her magic to kinda fix her mane or something? I always thought they'd just levitated brushes to do that. Then again I guess if they can levitate a brush why not just fix their hair...

 

Anyways I love it Its great stuff as always from ya, the mane is quite random looking, and since that is the purpose if it I'd say you did quite a great job!(No seriously at first I saw this and I was like WUT THE HECK!? o-o.)

 

Great job as always, I can't really say anything to deflate your ego right now at the moment.. However this reminds me I need to start finishing some of my art(Of which I am the guilty criminal of Procrastinating about to much .)
