Am I the only one who likes Cadance and Shining Armor?

I feel like Cadance and Shining Armor don't get any love from people. I've heard that people don't like them because they are "pointless" characters with no personalities.

 

I absolutely loved the season 2 finale of FIM, and I really liked both Cadance and Shining Armor. I think that if their characters were to become more developed, they would be two of my favorite characters (besides Rainbow Dash of course). I would love to see more appearances by both of them in the future in season 4.  

 

But anyway, does anyone else besides me like Princess Cadance and Shining Armor, and want to see more of them in the future?

I love Cadence and Twilights wonderful little Dance..  Its so freakin adorable! "Sunnshine sunshine..." I'll spare you it for now .

 

And Twilight and shinning armor are an adorable pair aswell, especially during and heck basically ever since they made him. I think their relationship is a great model for brothers and sisters, even if its slightly unrealistic . And not to mention Twili is an awesome nickname.

 

I don't hate any of the characters myself, I find it hard to honestly. They might not be super developed characters no, but keep in mind they haven't been around very long anyways. Besides I think they have nice little qualities, obviously they're not like amazing or something, but I certainly don't dislike them. I think they're both great characters, they just aren't nearly as developed as other characters on the show yet, we just have to give them sometime. But so far I love them both.

 

I also think the S2 Ending was really epic, just thinking about it, it was really a fitting ending. But thats another subject.

 

I agree they aren't super developed yet, but they have to start somewhere. . I like them so far, and they can only really develop more and get better in my eyes .

Oh, i like them. They're nice characters, with a very interesting design. I have no major idea of why people dislike them, but that doesn't bother me to much anyways.

 

I think we'll see them more. From both sides that we look at this, they're now somewhat important characters.

No certain future predictions from me.

I like both of them, I hope we get to see more of the two and see how they develop relationships with everypony. I'd like to see more of the Crystal Empire as a whole too.

I don't mind either of them, I wasn't fond of Cadence at first but I warmed to her after "Games Ponies Play". However Shining Armour's voice annoys the crap out of me and the "Ladybugs Awake" song makes me recoil at the sheer cheesiness present.

I think his voice is pretty awesome, personally.

What a coincidence, I'm actually doodling up a design for an ukulele based on the image of them in a heart shape at this very moment See, there's this cool wood set I ran across that has some grain that looks kinda like the crystal heart holder, and... I couldn't help myself

 

So yes, I do love them. I don't know how they did it, shoe-horning in a brother for the main character of the show 2 seasons in, and having it turn out to be the best episode(s) of the entire series. And Twilight and Cadence's greeting dance is just too adorable to get annoying, nomatter how many times they do it. I also love Cadence's purple wing tips. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any good inlay material to get that on my ukulele

 

I do wonder if Cadence is immortal like Celestia and Luna though... would be quite tragic if she only gets to be with her true love for a short while. But there's one solution... Alicornify ALL the ponies!

Dude... I am like the only person who dislikes them. I like really flawed characters, as they are more interesting. I understand why people like them. I also understand why people hate them. I just find it really difficult to be interested in their character.

Well, I wouldn't say I hate them. Some people just don't like them because, they appear a lot. All characters have flaws, we all know that. But, people hate characters that have no flaws. Plain and Simple.

Nope.  I think both of them are really awesome too.  The only thing I don't like about shining armor is he sounds like an obnoxious high school jock or something.  But it doesn't bother me too much

I like Cadence quite a bit.  I know she has a slightly empty personality, but she's nice and an alicorn and can heal or destroy with the power of love.  Shining Armor's okay too.  I'd kinda like to know how the two of them met.

Cadence is presented as perfect, and uses mind-controlling magic. And we are supposed to side with her, somehow. She's also shown to be a friend to our confirmed friendless TS.

 

Yeah, I don't like that. The fact that she has little to no interesting traits other than that is the nail.

 

 

Oh, halo that jerkish(but intended to not be so) brother who supposedly is TS BBBFF- again, "no friend"-TS suddenly has this "Best Friend" older brother?

 

 

Frankly, both of them are characters treated like we are suppose to share their views, but they are both pretty terrible people/ponies. Their retconning and screwing up TS's past story certainly doesn't help either.

I found it amusing that Cadence was originally supposed to be a unicorn and that Hasbro likely just wanted to reuse their old Celestia moulds, complete with horn...

I love Cadence.  Shining Armor is neat too, but I especially love Cadence.  Normally I don't go for the pink, cutsie kind of thing, but Cadence has a depth to her that makes her a great character.

 

Not to mention the song "This Day Aria" is AMAZING.  It has more depth and expression than any other song in the show, in my opinion.

They're probably there to present new problems involving the Crystal Kingdom that the six mane has to solve and extending the lore beyond Ponyville. In any case I don't hate Cadence I just liked the evil Cadence more even though technically that's Chrysalis. And Shining Armor sounds like every stereotypical surfer/cool dude in every kid's cartoon. Like that's the role model every kid looks up to or something. I like them as much as Twilight's parents...

I like both Cadence and Shining Armor. Shining Armor is one of the coolest male characters in the show and I kind like the relationship Cadence had with Twilight. 

 

Also they are like the only married couple we see in the show, besides Mr. and Mrs. Cake.

I really like them. It's refreshing to have a couple on the show, yet characters that aren't in your face. They're only in a few episodes and they make great additions, they have lovely designs too.

I ADORE Cadence and Shining Armor, oh my gosh. They're both such precious cuties, I get so excited whenever they show up again. I guess I get why people don't like them, but I just don't agree that they have no personalities. I dig that they're both just genuinely NICE people, but that they both have limits too.

 

I just like them a lot and they give me a lot of happy feelings. And their relationship is SUPER cute.

I have nothing against their characters exactly and would probably go as far to say that I like them a fair bit. I'm happy with the whole introduction of them and even how it messes with a bit of Twilight's back story. It's a little annoying that they have had so much screen time which I'd rather have had used on the other two princesses and even with the screen time they have had there is actually very little known about them (Cadance mainly here).

I actually think Cadence and Shining Armor look really good together as a couple. I really wish the writers of the show would do more with them in the show, honestly.
