What is it with Celestia and Bananas?

Why is Celestia always depicted (in fan made content) with banana's, and Luna (best pony ever) with a juicebox?

I know it's a fan made thing, but how did that start?

 

It's bugging my subconscious.

 

 

EDIT: Oh, and if you're thinking of making a "that's what she said" joke or whatever, grow up.

I'm not 100% sure - but it either started with Ask Princess Molestia, or the Power Parody called Ponies by IBringDaLULZ (I think that's what the ask blog was hinting at, but again, not sure.)

The pinecones and Trixie thing comes from a fanfic (forget which) in which Trixie had to eat some pinecones to not die of starvation. I forget how it gained popularity, but it got a lot of fanart. So yea.

Bananas are good. Like princess celestial, I love sticking bananas in my mouth. I especially like them when they are all ripe and large. Chewing on them and then breaking it into bits and mush with my teeth is my second. Favorite thing. I think celestia prolly thinks the same way.

the juice box thing comes from a comic page made a year or so ago, with RD and FS being in Flight Academy. FS is seen drinking out of a juice box on the last panel, which is what i think the first instance of when the juicebox thing comes from.

It was an attempt to add something stupidly groan-worthy to an otherwise great character, end of story.

 

Besides, the show points out numerous times that cake is Celestia's trademark favorite food, so to speak. So the whole banana thing makes no sense at all and seems like something am immature 12 year old with internet access would come up with.

The socks, juice boxes, bananas, hands, crabs, etc. I would go farther and say if you find yourself liking a character because of the fan addition, that opinion is just as valid as the cannon purists.
