I really can't stand this Mary Sue phrase being thrown around, i think it's just the name... Mary Sue... throws a chill down my spine; and why does there have to be an even number of each species in the mane six anyway? It means absolutely nothing. Rarity's not going to die of loneliness because she's the only Unicorn of the main six.

Tara Strong confirmed that Twilight will be given a long life-span.  In other words, she will outlive all five of her friends, forcing her to eventually live a long, lonely, and pathetic life, even as ruler of Equestria.

It's because people couldn't realize that Twilight was already "overpowered" and hugbox-praised prior to becoming Twilicorn. Apparently, these people couldn't see this until she was given wings, as if that makes a difference. And I never knew we were so OCD about keeping a racial balance in the main cast. I'm guessing that's supposed to make the show better somehow. Maybe we should go back to bashing Cadance being a third princess.

 

Anyway, cue the whining about leaving the fandom because Twilicorn and Hasbro.

So you can't really count her for credible info as far as i'm concerned. From what I've heard she's a known Twoll.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like some people are looking for whatever reason they can to hate on Twilight. The only thing we can confirm right now is that she is actually an Alicorn, i know right mind freaking blown. All this stuff about her leaving the Mane 6, new characters replacing her spot in the mane 6... anything being said now before season 4 premieres or credible information is leaked ( it'll happen ) is speculation and should be completely disregarded or at least talked about like it's speculation. People are already talking like it's canon. 

 

But anyway, we'll just have to put up with it until season 4 rolls along.

Eventually, the writers are going to cave-in to our desire to see Twilight as a unicorn and an equal to her friends, rather than some overpowered Mary Sue who no longer needs her friends. And when that happens, they'll have the S4 premiere return Twilight into a unicorn by the end. The reason they aren't confirming or denying this is simply to avoid spoilers, and because of the Non-Disclosure Agreement.I mean, they lied to us about Princess Twilicorn not happening just to avoid spoilers, so surely they're lying to us about a permanent Princess Twilicorn again. Right?

Topic #.......I have actually lost count. I really do not understand your point. Why would the voice actors or the writers of the show blatantly give information about the finale of a season? Seriously, go to the voice actors or writers of any show that actually has even a little story and I can guarantee that they will tell you nothing and deny any rumors. But even then, Hasbro still realizes that even the notion of giving Twilight wings, thus changing her species while disrupting the two-species symmetry of the Mane Six is still a retarded idea.  They know this, and if they don't change her back into a unicorn, us bronies are going to do what most other fanbases do with changes to their favorite franchises, and raise a ton of hell.

Realize that there ARE differing opinions.  Yours is indeed valid, but you don't need to constantly shove it down the throats of other bronies.  All opinions are valid, including the large number of us who support Twilicorn.

 

Frankly, EVERYTHING is more productive than complaining, because complaining isn't productive AT ALL.  So to help you out, I have compiled a list of things you can do instead of complaining about Twilicorn:

 

- Find other threads on this forum that invoke thought-provoking discussion and add an opinion to it that doesn't involve Twilicorn (surely there are other parts of the show that you enjoy, yes?)

 

- Draw some pony art.  If you can't draw, you can always learn!  And if you're not willing to learn, there are still thousands of artists out there that have wonderful art you can enjoy anyway.

 

- Write a fanfic.  You could even write an alternate universe fanfic where Twilight doesn't become an alicorn!  If you don't want to write, there are tons of fanfics out there that you can read and enjoy.

 

- Go re-watch previous episodes and enjoy them for the good-natured fun they are.

 

- Listen to some brony music.  EqD does a lot of music posts that can lead you to some amazing songs.  If you're gifted with music, perhaps you can write some of your own.

 

- Watch pony videos on YouTube.  I've found a few that I enjoy that I can show you if you would like.

 

 

These are just some of the things you can do to enjoy the community in ways that don't involve complaining about Twilicorn.  The community is more than just anti-Twilicorn vs pro-Twilicorn.  Get out there and find something you enjoy, and then enjoy it!

Stop crusading against a relativity minor change in the show(that could make the show even better in the hands of the writing staff it has) and just enjoy yourself?

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that Twilight will stay in Ponyville, though she may be visiting Canterlot more often.  I think it's like she's the princess of the Ponyville district, handling all the major problems that pop up there that aren't mayor-related.  She's like the town sherrif and the other five are her assistants.  And that's cool in my opinion.  As a princess, she's going to have more responsibility.  She was given wings to better be able to handle that responsibility.

 

Besides, flying and using magic at the same time is cool.

Again, I'm acting emotional over something that does have potential!  I mean, I never got emotional over Commander Shepard going from minor space-marine to leader of the entire galaxy, and the Grey Warden protagonist going from just one person to leader of a multi-racial army.  But, when it comes to Princess Twilicorn, I just tantrum like the obsessive fanboy I am.

That's only half of it. The writers have many more plot ideas. Don't you see, by transforming Twilight into a princess/alicorn, it opened up many new doors waiting to be explored. Yes! Exactly! That's the great thing about fanon. If there's something canon that you don't like, you will always find alternatives! In my 3 current ongoing fics, one is set in a world where Twilight has become a princess and moved to Canterlot, one is set so that she's due to become a princess (but certain events prevent that from happening) and the other is set in a world where she flat out refuses to be a princess.

See, this is what people's first thought would be. You still sneak in the reversion of Twilight, which will not happen. #2 has already happened in Lesson Zero. That lesson has already been taught, and so has the lesson of sacrifice. There are still plenty more lessons to learn.

Then here's a new theory.

 

One-thousand years passed, and Twilight remains ruler of Equestria, while her friends are all dead. Missing her friends so much, Twilight visits Princess Celestia and asks to resign from royalty (wings and everything) and transported back one-thousand years into the past to be with, grow old, and die with her friends. Celestia accepts her wish and grants it, and everything is back to normal.

 

Or, Twilight takes her friends as her students--and I don't mean the way Celestia mentioned, I mean literally her students. She trains them, prepares them for the notion of running Equestria as Twilight's new co-rulers, then when the time is right, turn them into alicorns so that they could apply everything they learned to ruling Equestria.

Eh anythings possible really, I don't exclude anything for sure really, I mean anything could happen. Expect the unexpected my friend.

But on the same basis be prepared for it to stay permanent, because really it could go either way.

 

I doubt they wanted to spoil things though, so thats probably the reason, which could be the reason that they're doing what they're doing now, but idk its possible either way like I said, we just have to wait and see.

 

I don't know how much our rants and complaining are actually going to do anything though, I imagine the script for S4 has been in the works for a while now, its been confirmed that theres a S4 for a while I believe, so the fact that the premier might already be set in stone is possible, which means the complaining might actually not do anything, who knows really.

 

Like I've said though, anythings possible. I'm personally fine with it either way, I don't really care that much, I'm pretty indifferent to this whole thing, I'll still watch the show regardless, but I'm not much of a critical person, and its just my opinions anyways so feel free to have your own, long as you respect mine .

 

Only thing we can do is wait and see.

Ok, I really don't like the 'twilight becoming unicorn again' stuff.

I really think shell just go back to ponyville. She was MEANT to be an alicorn. They weren't trolling, they were avoiding spoilers. Guys, just accept the fact that she's an alicorn . There's a small chance she will turn back but I REALLY doubt it. I mean, think about it. Would Celestia really FORCE twilight to live in canterlot and choose between her friends and her princesshood?
