Do You Support Twilicorn?

As S4 draws near, I find myself in a state of pacifist disapproval. I mean, I accept that others like this. However, I myself strongly dislike this. I support making others happy more than myself, though, especially when a majority is involved. Don't mistake this as supporting AliTwi; at this point, that is both mentally and morally impossible for me to do. But, if it makes others happy, I support that. 

I'm personally not sure there is a majority in either direction. And I'm not sure what morality has to do with your support or otherwise of the idea. I'm more in a wait-and-see mood, myself.

TWILIGHT WITH WINGS IS AMAZING! 

 

Ahem, This change in her is perfect now that we can finally see it in "action" sure its old news now but these first two episodes (big fan of them btw, i like how more of a story arch is happening so soon and not just fake drama) show her doing her Twiley thing! Worryworryworry, then fret, then worry some more. The animation of her being able to use wings while this ackward school girl becomes royalty (more ackward) is PERFECT.

 

Pegasi ponies have the advantage of Wings to show emotion, one big thing Twilight has had trouble with. Those wings are going to stay down or prevent nervous head bumping flight when shes troubled or happy.

 

I love this, i love mlp and i am pumped for more!!!!!!

 

p.s. I am no Twilight fan, she is at best 4th best pony on my list (all hail Rarity!!!!!) but as the mane character this development...i repeat DEVELOPMENT OF HER CHARACTER, is important. The other 5 need such events, Pinkie is still drewling for sweets for example and AJ STILL grumbling about her job. Love my girls but this is HUGE in the growth of the series. I am a happy pony!

I think the writers are handling the alicornification of Twilight very well, actually;

 

- Twilight is apprehensive about having her new title, and very gradually adapting to it (She's not just "Ooh I'm a Princess now! I'm so happy!")

 

- Rarity's envy of Twilight's title is a kind of continuity-nod with regard to The Ticket Master episode, in which Rarity fantasized about meeting a Prince at the Gala and becoming his Princess

 

- All of the Mane Six have varying degrees of interest in being-a-Princess: Rarity would absolutely love to be a Princess, Twilight is still apprehensive about actually being one, Rainbow Dash herself says "I don't know if it's everypony's dream," Pinkie is so uninterested she even has her mind on cake frosting when everyone else is talking about it. You see? They still are embracing the spirit of Lauren Faust saying "There's more than one way to be a girl."

 

- Rainbow Dash's embrace of having Twilight as "a new flying buddy" couldn't be more perfect

She's pretty much the same exact lovable pony as before...other than a new pair of wings which look adorable on her.

As image shows she is still adorkable and still Twilight. OCD crackups and all. The her new role will add a lot of depth to her character.

not much change  we don't know yet she learnd to calm down last season and yet in the first episode she just freaked out again and it was like she was never  tought the method

Twilight is still the same, still adorkable, still loves books, the only minor change that I know about Twilight is the new addition of having wings and ascending into becoming a princess.

It is too soon to tell, what we have seen so far about Twilight as a character is encouraging but I am still not sold on twilicorn, the premier didn't answer as much as I thought it would but the season just barely even started so I am still in wait and see mode. I love Twilight and hope this all works out so I am trying to be optimistic.

At the end of season 3 I kind of didn't like Twilicorn.... I really didn't, truth be told it made me cry but after EQ girls she kind of grew on me. Then after watching season 4 episode 1-2 I really don't mind it as much anymore... but I still have this fear... that her and the others well one day split up ):
