We've all heard the Mane 6 sing, as well as Kadence and even Queen Chrysalis.in both her own form and Kadences. With the latest newer singing voice we've heard being Spikes, it makes me wonder if well ever get to hear Shining Armor sing. Id personally love to see him get a song. How about you? .

I'm actually totally cool with having Shinning get a song, hes one of the characters who hasn't got one who'd be cool to get one, not sure what it'd be for but It'd be cool.

 

Also its "Cadence" btw, not trying to be mean just saying .

Dunno if I would like it but it couldn't hurt.  Though Francis Sparkle (FiW equivalent of Shining) sang in Foaly Matripony and it wasn't bad so I could see it working.  That being said Dash and Fluttershy need their own dedicated songs before this is to happen in my opinion.  All they have is Super Speedsters and So Many Wonders which are more jingles than songs leaving their duet as their only real song.

I completely agree, Dash and Fluttershy need to get their own solo songs before Shining Armor does. Now, that's not to say I don't want Shining to get his own song, cause I totally do. I just think our friendly neighborhood Pegasi need their time in the limelight as well.

And if does get a song it should have something to do with Twily and Kadence.

A line or two with Twilight will have to do since having an entire song for himself would be kind of weird. It's not because I dislike Shining Armor, it's just that it'll be awkward.

Take Celestia as an example. Yes, it was neat to hear her sing, but ultimately it didn't mean anything to me. It seemed out of character and was just thrown in there.

Actually, her name is Cadance. You need to replace the first "e" with an "a".

 

I agree with you and @MyShiningArmor about seeing Shining Armor get a song. A duet with Twilight and/or Cadance would probably be the best moment for him to break out his singing voice. Ever since Celestia had her own song in the Season 3 finale, the sky's the limit.

If he got a song it would most likely be either about Twilight which would form a sort of sequel to Twilight's Big Brother Best Friend Forever song or about Cadence. I do of course agree though that the placement has to make sense storywise and not just be randomly tacked on.

If you look anywhere on the internet it is spelled with a c not a k Infact if you google "princess kadence" it will automaticly correct it to a c.

Well it is spelled with a c everywhere else on earth. Including the subtitels from the show and on Hasbro website so Im pretty sure you cant spell it with a K since nowhere other then walmart (according to you) spells it with a K every single source I can find it is a C.

-I don't know how to post videos, but this is from Friendship is Witchcraft. It won't be too long before you hear Shining Armor sing. The voices in FIW are quite similar to the real show, so it'll probably sound like that.

Odd thing is, when I picture the idea of Shining Armor Singing, I imagine him playing a lute in a castle garden with Cadance looking down and watching him from the top of a castle tower.

 

You know, something that fits the archtype that Prince Armor is named after.

 

But then, he's voiced by Andrew Francis. And while I haven't seen alot of the parts Mr. Francis did, I know I haven't heard him sing.

 

And the given fact that Mr. Francis, as I've heard him anyway, mostly speak with that Florida surfer dude style of voice (And I'm not just talking about how he voiced Vert Wheeler in a certain Hot Wheels movie, yeah, I went here), I somehow can't imagine him singing, not with that voice.

If I, an ordinary amatuer voice actor, can sing ad Applejack, Cadance, Twilight, Rarity, AND Queen Chrysalis I'm pretty sure that Andrew can sing in the voice of his ONLY mlp character. And if not, I'm sure they can get someone who sounds similar to do it. They did it for Charlie Sheen in All Dogs Go To Heaven 2, and that was a much less profited and profitable movie.
