I'm doing okay, had to help my dad fix doors I broke. This house is going to be sold soon, at least not a lot of things are happening and it's going well. We gotta move more stuff out. So much stuff we have here still.

 

I'm tired though, or a bit awake. Not gonna rain today, bleeeh. And I have to mow lawns.

Ugh... I despise throwing up. I automatically cry afterwards with the taste of my insides being hard to wash out, especially with mouthwash...

 

Forget throwing up; try not being able to get your favourites through your mouth for a week because you had your wisdom teef yanked out.

 

They told me that there's a risk of nausea post-op, but nausea was the least of my worries.

 

How is everyone doing? I just woke up, I'm tired. Waking up can feel meh a lot of the time. -yawns multiple times-

I actually have gotten my wisdom teeth out. The anti-biotic tasted terrible, like someone put garlic powder on a cherry. I had gauze pads for about 3 weeks too.

 

I scared the doctors because I wasn't waking up for 30 minutes have the sedative was supposed to wear off.

I had to get, like, seven different medications, and I had a thing the next day after the appointment so I had to bring my medication with me. I just had my teef extraction (and this was wif a root canal, too) last Monday and somehow I'm up to the point where I can eat right now.

 

Antibiotic tastes like terrible, especially if you're not fast at swallowing, but it's gotta be done to prevent antibiotic resistance from developing. (I also read the risk of having mouf germs infecting your heart, vomiting, flare-ups, and whatever; there's a lot.)

 

And that was wif two of my wisdom teef and one of them was impacted; the other two teef haven't been taken out yet and I still need a crown for my other other toof.

 

Funny story: we didn't have gauze so I was offered toilet paper, but then I didn't want toilet paper so I opted for paper towels. Then we ran out of toilet paper and I had the last roll in my room.

Yeah, I understand that. When I had my teeth removed, that was one of the things that bugged me the most. My mouth just felt so...dirty I guess? But I had to be careful when brushing so I never felt like it actually got clean. Was the worst. Still! You'll get there.

Anyway today I went to MicroCenter and there was a desktop I would want to play games with, but I can't afford it... Meh. I ended up getting cases instead.

As for my avatar, yes! That is a badge someone did for me. It was a commission I requested from one of my favorite artists at Everfree Northwest this year. Here is hoping she is there again next year! I plan to get another one done.

The pony, is me! Well, pony me. I did have the name Loose Leaf here on the forums for the longest time, but for some reason my name was auto-switched to something else, so someone else could have it. So, I just changed it to 'Tia Leaf, so it could incorporate my real name, as well as my pony name.

Remember how the most common contraction of my name (Ganaram) is Gannie/Ganny? But instead of /ˈgænʌˈræm/, it's /gˈnɑ:ˈrʌm/, which throws lots of people into a loop?

 

Well, Ganymede is pronounced /ˈɡænɨmiːd/ and if you just focus on the first syllable, it collapses down to Gany, which is pronounced something like /ˈɡæniː/. Strangely enough, my name contraction of Gannie/Ganny shares the same exact pronunciation of /ˈɡæniː/ but I have two variants of the name and they both have double N's and the other doesn't.

Like this: once upon a time, each letter had its own sound, but then because of sound shifts, two letters will end up making the same sound. Such is the case with Thai and the /t/ sound.

 

 

The other way is transcribing words from another language to your language and wanting to have a letter that resembles the letter you're transcribing. Such is the case with the letter C (which only made the /k/ sound in Latin) and the letter K (which made the /k/ sound in Greek but was taken by the Romans for transliterating Greek words). Then came in the letter Q...
