I don't know about you guys, but I find Three Days Grace to be awful. They try to be an angsty and aggressive band, but they fail in every aspect. They instead come off as one of the most shallow bands in recent memory

They're okay, I like a handful of their songs. I think they are pretty overrated though. I wouldn't call them awful personally, but they aren't anything special.

I would call them really awful. They are so shallow, and besides, if you want something truly angsty, listen to I Hate Myself or Indian Summer. They actually have depth in their music unlike TDG

I like that song, and I like Never Too Late. Break is an okay song too, it's kinda catchy.

That's the main issue I have with that band and the reason I call them awful. They try too hard to come up with lyrics about teenage anxiety, depression and hate, but the results are laughable. And if a band fails at the only aspect they seem to focus on, then you know that you got yourself one awful band

Perhaps I was focusing a bit too much on the lyrical aspect, but TDG ironically do the same. When it comes to the musical aspect, it's pretty clichè and nothing ground breaking. Overall, I would call them an extremely mediocre band with embarassingly clichè and redundant lyrics

 

And the reason I focus so much on the lyrics, is because getting the message of anxiety out to the mainstream audience seems to be the sole purpose of the bands excistence, and they can't even get that right

i have no idea who Krewella are, and yes I'm, seriously listeing to Come Clarity. So far it's pretty average. Right now I'm on Leeches, I'm not a fan of the vocals, but the guitar ain't bad.

I actually have the CD, I'm thinking about throwing it away. I still remember when I was like 9 and Holiday was my favorite song LOL.

That's really subjective, although I would think a lot of people would say Linkin Park was good but not anymore.

That album is just a shameless attempt to gain mainstream popularity. There is nothing punk or provocative about it, and it's extremely mainstream friendly. It feels like they gave up their punk nature for fame which is sad, really.

 

American Idiot is the only song I would even consider having something to do with punk, but even that song is pale in comparison to any song on Dookie. Listen to that album and you'll know what I'm talking about

Oh my god I hate the earbleeding cancer filled body wrecking terrible piece of shit excuse of a band named Knife Party. They aren't as terrible as Krewella, Nero or Skrillex, though Knife Party are still one of the worst bands I've heard, sucks because they have an awesome looking band logo, it's just such a shame that it has to be put to bad use.

Crawl Through Knives is probably the only decent song from it. I swear I'm going to listen to some At the Gates or Carcass when I'm done with Come Clarity, some proper melodeath to wash down this crappy album.

To be far, your judgement on Come Clarity is kind of biased seeming towards how you hate Alternative music that isn't from the 80's or 90's. Regardless I wouldn't call it crappy, but rather more on the line of decent, it's definitely bad compared to their older stuff, though out of all the metal bands who haven't done as good in their years of today, In Flames seem to be the only one that's still decent compared to the rest.
