I despise this album with every fiber of my being. Let's just move on and pretend this post doesn't exist.

Really?  It's not my favorite Avenged Sevenfold album (the self titled and Nightmare are much better) but Seize the Day is one of m favorite songs by them.

Since we're now on the topic of A7X I might as well say this. Now I've listened to a lot of screams, and while I can't say that M. Shadow's screams are the worst that I've heard, they still aren't that great. His vocals don't sound really nasally on Waking the Fallen, though his screams kind of sound a bit bland. City of Fallen was where A7X's downfall started, their self-titled made them even more worse and is definitely one of the most terrible albums that I've heard. And finally Nightmare which is the album that has some of the most terribly written lyrics that I've ever read.

There, I've said it.

I think weeb music is just plain awful. Any anime OST is shit.

That goes for other misc. weeb stuff like Hatsune Miku that stupid vocaloid thing that has a slightly too obsessed fan base...

The movie with the best OST is Friday Night Lights. Explosions in the Sky motherfuckers.

Um yeah that's it.

My favorite OST is The Social Network. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross put together some sweet ambient stuff for that movie.

Close runners-up include A Charlie Brown Christmas (amazing jazz trio recording for the holidays) and Koyaanisqatsi (interesting modern classical).

Angerfist is the worst "Speedcore" artist ever, mainly because he doesn't even play Speedcore, yet everybody keeps saying that

People really call this soft shit Speedcore? What the hell, this is purely Mainstream Hardcore

Not a bad song, but faaar from being as fast and raw as Speedcore

This is proper Speedcore

Hardcore > Speedcore

and I hardly like Hardcore at all.

Breakcore >>>>>>>>>>>>> all electronic "core" based genres

Speedcore is more about "LETS GO SUPER FAST YEAH THE FASTER THE BETTER YEAH FUCK YEAH SPEED"

and I personally think that's shit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This, this all the way

But anyways I might as well leave some more unpopular opinions

90's EDM > Today's EDM. The Prodigy, Underworld, and The Crystal Method are all way better than Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Pendulum.

Aphex Twin is one of the most important musicians for electronic music

Underworld > Daft Punk

There's more EDM than Skrill and the like. I listen to more 2000's and 2010's electronic than anything, like Flying Lotus, Bonobo, Venetian Snares, James Blake, early Skream, and Burial. I will say Aphex Twin and Underworld are some of my favorites too, though. I need to get some more stuff from that era, especially big beat, since that intrigues me a lot.

Oh yeah bro I do like some of the more modern EDM, but I just tend to like the 90's era better more than what I've heard today, though I do loves me some good Post-Dubstep like James Blake and Mount Kimbie.

Here, have Moog's handy dandy list of Electronic music, since it has a lot of IDM (Stuff like Aphex Twin) and 90's EDM

Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Underworld, Autechre, Venetian Snares, The Crystal Method, James Blake, Mount Kimbie, Flying Lotus, Mouse on Mars, Squarepusher, Four Tet, Richard Devine, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Amon Tobin Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, and The Flashbulb

I was too lazy to edit out the ones that you've already listened to, though I knew that keeping this list would come in handy, somehow.

Understandable, Speedcore is not for everyone.

Since I'm not even a fan of Metallica and I wouldn't get turned off of them by that album, I should listen to it to see if I can laugh at how bad it is.

The reviews are even funnier. I remember seeing Metro's review a few days after it's release. The guy said that "Metallica have finally disappeared in their own assholes for good", "The band wanders around this earth like a giant ass, with Lou Reed as their rider" and that "This album is nothing but a disgusting sound created by superstars who's interior consists of Tjernobyl"

I laughed forever

I despise this album with every fiber of my being. Let's just move on and pretend this post doesn't exist.

I wouldn't even say that this album was a serious attempt by AX7, but I found it surprisingly enjoyable, especially the guitarplay. Perhaps it's just me though

Skrillex is shit but deadmau5 and Pendulum are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than The Prodigy, Underworld and The Crystal Method combined.

If you don't like deadmau5's newer stuff check out his older stuff on the deadmau5 circa 1998-2002 album atleast, I've always loved the mau5. Also his newer work is still amazing, this is just so minimal yet beautiful:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyvuc_GjzfU

Much better than the 90's stuff IMO.

As for Pendulum, I find them so diverse and amazing that I love them even if they pretty much ditched their DnB roots in their latest album, and I still hope for a reunion, I have my fingers crossed for 2014 but I digress.  Pendulum's older work did have DnB roots, Jungle Sound: Gold showed this immensely, and some of their hard to get vinyl stuff is just plain awesome:

The Prodigy just doesn't deliver something like, to me anyway.

Well that's just my 2 cents, haha.

The new Metallica is absolute shit. Lulu is one of the worst metal albums I have ever heard

I get why people hate Lulu and St. Anger but Death Magnetic is so awesome in my opinion. I would say the new Metallica is pretty shitty with the exception of DM.

Is everyone really saying Nickelback is the worst band in the world? Clearly you don't know the reason a part of RD92 wants to kick me in the fucking teeth.

I despise this album with every fiber of my being. Let's just move on and pretend this post doesn't exist.

The fact that you're saying this album is worse than Nickelback is just...wtf.

I get why you would not be a fan of the album, but I just don't get how you think it's the worst album ever. I mean honestly it has really great guitar solos, some of the songs are pretty fucking epic in my opinion. I really enjoy most of the songs, I mean they're obviously a talented band.

I guess all I can do is accept your opinion and move on.

But... but, they all play Big Beat/Breakbeat (with the exception of Underworld who play Prog Trance/House). It's really difficult to compare that with some shitty DnB/Alternative Rock act

It's official your musical taste is everything that I hate (Djent, newer EDM, god just no). Pendulum are a bunch of wannabes, and Deadmau5 is only decent. but hey at least you agree that Skrillex is shit.

I've always been a sucker for mixing non-electronic and electronic sounds together, I think they do it with great fidelity, but whatever.

Surely we have at least one genre similarity.

Ambient

Trip-Hop

Industrial

Indie Rock

Melodic Death Metal

Dark Neurofunk

Anything there strike your fancy?

I fucking love the song Blinded in Chains, that song is awesome.

Ambient

Yes, though I find Ambient IDM like Aphex Twin's earlier works and Boards of Canada to be better than ordinary Ambient

Trip-Hop

I've always had a love for Portishead and Moby

Industrial

I used to be such a sucker for that stuff, though I'll listen to it on the occasion

Indie Rock

No

Melodic Death Metal

Melodeath is alright, though I don't really care for it too much.

There we go, I keep my genre acceptance list pretty broad, as it allows my library to never get stale. Care to share some genres you enjoy?

Perhaps I'm responding to this just a tad to late but....

I really have little issues with the new Skream. Sure, the chance of getting something worthy of Skream! are deader than shit, but his new house tracks aren't bad at all. What I like the most is that he still stays true to the UK dance scene and doesn't produce anything over the top loud and aggressive.

I can really see him creating some Old School DnB in the future, but hopefully he'll return to making Dubstep

I see his new stuff as proto-brostep with much more substance than the brostep that ruined dubstep forever, but still not particularly captivating.

Black Metal

Sludge Metal/Post-Metal

Skramz

Post-Dubstep

Metalcore (not the shitty mainstream Melodic Metalcore bands)

Grindcore

Obviously you haven't listened to Infected Mushroom

You should listen to Norma Jean's newer stuff, it's the easiest ordinary Metalcore to get into

No, I was just giving you a suggestion, I never said you had a shitty taste bro, since I know that you don't like Converge because of their vocalist. Yeah I'll admit that suggestion was a bit out of the blue, though I couldn't care less about your musical tastes
