I would say that my favorite movies before 2000 are the "Back to the Future" trilogy and the "Ghostbusters" movies:

Can't remember too many movies back then, but the first movie that comes to my mind is Space Jam. Definitely one of my favorite movies ever! Funny enough, I found out they were actually showing the movie today on FMC. I haven't seen this movie in a couple of years!

The Terminator for sure. Robocop was good but not as good as The Terminator. I'm not a huge movie guy so it was pretty easy to choose.

My favorite is Terminator 2 Judgment Day. I also liked The Truman Show. And you know, The Matrix is from 1999, right? I like the first Matrix so yea.
Terminator 2 Judgment Day is my choice though!

That would probably be The City of Lost Children (1995). I like all the movies directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (that I have seen). 

I also like Clerks (1994) (and other Kevin Smith movies), Metropolis (1927) and The General (1926) (pretty much all Buster Keaton movies are good) and some others I do not immediately remember.

Mine are the same as always, from any era; Return of the Jedi, and Beauty and the Beast. The only major contenders from post-2000 are Tangled and Your Name.
