I was looking at the best James Bond movies thread so I decided to make this thread for the actors. Out of the 6 actors, which one is your favorite? Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, or Daniel Craig. Vote Above and put opinions below.

 

My opinions on each actor:

 

Sean Connery- Sean Connery will always be my favorite. He wasn't too goofy and he had a nice serious attitude. But he still had his witty one liners from time to time and some of the best movies. Also, he is just an awesome James Bond and was the original, which counts for some points.

 

 

George Lazenby- I don't hate him, but I don't really like him either. He wasn't the best actor ever and was bad at conveying emotion in the character of James Bond. My fifth favorite James Bond.

 

 

Roger Moore: Ok, I absolutely HATE HATE HATE Roger Moore! He is my least favorite for these reasons.

 

1. He was too goofy and I couldn't take him seriously.

2. He had no emotion whatsoever.

3. He had way too many one liners that failed miserably.

4. His movies are boring and the worst in the series in my opinion.

 

That is all I have to say.

 

 

Timothy Dalton- I know many people don't like him, but I enjoyed his movies. He is my third favorite out of the James Bonds. I liked his no-nonsense serious attitude and enjoyed his darker movies. His seriousness was a serious relief from the stupidity of Roger Moore's movies. 

 

 

Pierce Brosnan- I don't have a problem with him. He did his job well, even if sometimes he did go a little overboard on the jokes, but it's forgivable. Fourth Favorite James Bond

 

 

Daniel Craig- Daniel Craig is awesome, just not as awesome as Sean Connery. But he did an amazing job with the role of James Bond and I loved Casino Royale. He is like a combination of Timothy Dalton's seriousness and grittiness and Sean Connery's few one liners and class. He is my second favorite James Bond and actually was one of the few James Bonds who displayed appropriate emotions. And I find this line hilarious:

 

"Now the whole world is gonna know you died scratching my balls."

Sean Connery, of all time!

I have all the old Bonb movies on VHS and he is simply the best, nothing more to say...

many say Craig is better, but most of those haven´t even seen most of Connery´s movies :/

Craig did a great job, and I loved watching his movies since the action scenes are downright gorgeous, but Connery had all the class, wit, charm, and just general awesomness/radicalness/epicness of the James Bond character. <3 Forever and always my favorite Bond!

Either Daniel Craig or Sean Connery, though Bronson would probably be my favorite had all of his movies had the same quality as Goldeneye(which I still consider one of the best Bond movies out there)

No one's better than Roger Moore. Sean Connery is overrated, and his movies were never any good. Actually there's no action hero better than Moore.

I honestly can't decide between Craig and Connery. Both are just so great in the role.

 

I haven't seen a Connery Bond in a really long time, and I've seen Craig Bonds quite recently, so I'll go watch some Connery again before voting.

Mister f'ng Sir, Knight of the Court Sean Connery, that man alone has more class in one finger the connived effort of the full UK royal family . Check it there were tests in 1976 about that its a proven fact.

Holy crap. Are you me? Seriously, I can't think of much to add to what you said, as almost every single one of your opinions lined up with mine. I will say one thing, though. While most of Sir Roger Moore's Bond movies were bad, I did enjoy The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only. Not so much for Sir Roger Moore, mind you. TSWLM, I enjoyed for Jaws and Major Hotness (her real name was something Russian I can't recall starting with A).

 

As for For Your Eyes Only, I liked the story, and thought the writing was really strong for a Moore film. Then I found out the movie was originally written for a new Bond, as Sir Roger Moore thought about retiring. That actor? Some guy named Timothy Dalton, who declined as he felt too young to be Bond.

I am going to say Sir roger Moore on this thread. Yeah I know I did not vote for Connery or brosnan okay I committed heresy.

I'm sorry guys He retained the comedy value that Ian Fleming wrote in his books. Not to mention definitely retained the gentleman value with the typical Roger Moore Dry humor. I personally think Brosnan Sucked it went downhill after the second bond film good actor poor James bond Timothy Dalton and George lazenby Were horribly underrated Im sorry though Connery was the first James bond He was kind of meh by diamonds are forever.

Yeah, I moderately enjoyed For Your Eyes Only, but I hate the other ones so much. I wish Timothy Dalton did more movies though instead of Roger Moore having a whole a lot of movies. Enough is Enough! In my opinion, of course.

Sean Connery by far... I've watched every single James Bond movie, and no one can pull of James Bond's style like Sean. He just has this way about him that screams "Im sexy and I know it, I can also kill you and YOU know that"

 

Daniel Craig is my second favourite because, even though he is younger, he brings much needed physical action to the James Bond character.

Pierce Brosnan was, without doubt, the best bond actor ever! He was suave, sophisticated and had that arrogant, over-confident personality that fitted Bond's character perfectly. Goldeneye really brought out the best in Bond, because Pierce added that spark of class that was really needed for the greatest spy ever! Go Pierce Brosnan!

I'm surprised to see that there are no votes for Dalton. He pioneered Craig's dark and edgy character for Bond, and The Living Daylights will always be one of my favorite films. I would have voted for him myself, but...

 

Brosnan was my bond. I grew up on him, and he was the Bond of my favorite movie, Goldeneye. He was just perfect for the role, suave, smooth speaking, and tough in his own right.

As the majority, Sean Connery is definitly my favorite. I did not watch a lot of Bond films yet, but after watching Goldfinger it was hard to like Daniel Craig as much, but I really liked those 2 in all the Bond films I've watched so far. From Russia With Love was also a great film, making Sean Connery definitly the best bond in my mind.

Pierce Brosnan by far. I grew up with his Bond films and GoldenEye 007 on the N64 is still one of my favorite games. I like Daniel Craig's take on Bond seeing as it's a fairly vast difference in the role. The rest are equally good. The actor I think of when I hear the name James Bond 007 will always be Pierce Brosnan though.

And yes, I am a bit surprised there aren't any people voting for Timothy Dalton. I love his dark and edgy character and he is quite underrated. And I love License to Kill and is probably my third favorite out of the 007 series.
