Ok, no, you are wrong, wrong, wrong.

I know the technical definition of 'furry' is 'someone interested in fictional anthropomorphic animals with human characteristics', but that definition is about as accurate as 'fag', meaning a bundle of sticks.

The word 'furry' now specifically defines an entire taboo subculture, and don't try to play it off like you meant the former definition. Because if you really believed brony equaled furry, then this entire question would be rhetorical. You would essentially be asking, 'how do you feel about bronies', but you're not, you're asking how we feel about furries. My response:

"Whatever someone wants to do, so long as it hurt no one else, is their own business. Life is short, and we have very little time to fit as much fun in as possible."

A brony is not a type of furry, because you would not have asked this question in the first place, if you believed that.

Also, I find clowns freaky, just as finding anthropomorphizations freaky, is just a natural trigger.

Edit: I apologize if I sound brash, but this is the type of thing that Fox News eats up. I promote any type of safe fun, but MLP should not be sexalized to the general non-brony populace, so that non-bronies get the wrong idea.

I said somewhat for me, because of the fact bronies and furries are a lot alike. I wasn't saying they were EXACTLY alike.

I somehow ended up in a Minecraft group with like 30 of them, and my boyfriend is a furry. Pretty friendly and awesome people if you ask me! Nothing wrong with em. XD

Although I'm not one myself, never was interested in that sorta thing really! But yeah, overall they're no different than any of us are. There was this thing of a guy in a reindeer fursuit running around Time Square that just made me laugh so much I cried.

I currently still am a bit of a Furry, but I was more of one before MLP came around. I can thank Krystal from Star Fox for making me one. XD

Now I just occasionally browse Furaffinity. I was never one for the Fursuits, I thought it was just a bit weird, and they just all looked like weird Mascots for some kinda sports team. lol

I was just a furry that liked the art.

One guy I work with at Autozone is a furry, I only know this because he has a bumper sticker of his van that says "OMGWTFFURRIES!" and a license plate that says Lunafox. Never really talked to the guy, because I am hardly ever in the store anyway because I am a driver. Other than that, he seems like a pretty cool guy, always polite, nothing noticably weird about him.

If I wasn't a furry, I probably wouldn't have stumbled upon MLP as soon as I did, and even then I only started watching the show halfway through Season 2.

It depends, some of them are really awesome people and some of them can be really annoying.
Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not a hater, I'll just compare between the two sides.
The awesome ones:-
1- In case he likes to enjoy Furry porn, he/she just keeps it for himself/herself.
2- Respect other people's opinions.
The annoying ones:-
1- The ones who keep bragging about furry porn.
2- The ones who keep getting offended once I tell him/her that I don't like furry art. (Seriously, I don't)

In addition, some bronies act like this as well, these kind of bronies are really annoying.

I like...or eh, LOVE furries. Infact, i've made a few fursonas before and currently working on a furry costume.

Anyways, I like the regular furries. You know? Not the nasty porn or the "yiffing" furries. I respect what people like, but not me man, Im not into those. I just like the cute and regular ones. I guess, if you are into "yiffing" and junk, its fine, but i do not like it when other bring it upon me and stuff. I had a friend who like...desires his LIFE to furries. He was a nice guy and still is, but we just arent friends no more due to other reasons.

Well, he was SO into them. As in, the Yiffing, porn, and the sexual ones. He knew I wasnt into that, so he did not try to like..push it against me. Its just, what really bugged me, was...(Not to sound nasty or go into much detail) but any furry pleasured him. I even drew one of my fursonas, which is a cat, and she was fully clothed, her breasts werent huge, and nothing else, and he was getting pleased by the pic.

Sigh, its the way he felt, but thats what bums me about some of the furry society. Meh, we all have opinions.

Do you mean "furry" as in anthropomorphic animals, or the people who find them interesting? Either way, I'm positive towards them.To some degree, I suppose I've always enjoyed furries in some form or another since I've always been a huge Star Fox fan. I also enjoy seeing anthro interpretations of my favorite ponies, so it's a very interesting subculture to say the least.

But honestly, I'll never understand the handful of bronies out there who sneer at furries, as if their interests were somehow more "weird" than our own. You'd think we'd be a little more understanding of each other, considering how much blind hate both of us get.

If you mean furrys as in the anthromatic furrys, I don't have a problem with them.

I dont think I'll ever really understand the side of the fandom that has a hard core disliking for anthro and furrys.

Oy vey..

I have conflicted feelings towards furries. While I think for the most part that they're fine and sometimes cool or cute, I am also a bit creeped out by them at the same time.

..and I think most of the fanbase are complete gross idiots but ehh.

I have a FA account and draw furries sometimes but it's not my most payed attention to hobby.

I'm cool with furries, I mean they are just like us, well.. by that I mean, they have their fandom which has their good parts and bad parts, like us they have been abused by others (especially the media and close minded people), and all that. In fact, some of my old friends from my old local Brony meetup group are Furries too, and they are totally awesome people!

Some are down to earth people, some are not. Some are nice and creative people, some are not. The same thing applies to every fandom, imo. But my overall impression is good!

I personally have nothing against them. I have few furry friends and they are actually cool people and always so nice :) I guess I will pick "they are pretty cool" option from poll. Sure, it is a bit weird... but aren't we all weird in some ways? ^^

As someone who is some-what one(although, not a hardcore furry like I was in Highschool, I'm mainly more into the artwork, webcomics, and such now because a good chunk of furry communities are so crappy and the drama is non-stop) I'd be a hypocrite if I said I disliked them

Also, for those clinging to the last threads of the "we bronies are nothing like furries" arguement. Bull. Shit. You all need to realize that we're pretty much a somewhat lighter and softer sister fandom to them and many of our big-name members am well-known artists were big-name furries before they started doing brony stuff.

From what i've seen, MOST bronies are furries, however some of them aren't. Someone can like a show just for the story and the characters personalities (Like myself), and not focus on the fact that they are anthropomorphic horses with human brains and human lifestyles. So I would have to disagree with your "Technically, bronies *are* furries." statement.

I have no issues with them.  Some of the fursuits I've seen pictures of are really well done and in a way, they're the closest we'll get to seeing our favorite cartoon characters in real life.  There's also some nice art out there too, even though a lot of it is r34.  Overall, the fandom doesn't seem to be doing any harm.  Its just another interest some people have, and there are a lot worse things out there to be interested in.

Furries are fine, generally pretty cool people. They've never given me a problem, so why would I dislike them?

Bronies and Furries may be somewhat similar, but I don't consider my self a part of the Furry fandom and I never will. It's just not who I am.

I don't have any quarrels at the basis of the whole thing, they're similar to bronies in a few ways, although i don't believe being a brony = being a furry since furries like anthro creatures.

Atleast that seems to be the general thing on what a furry is.

I don't consider myself one, as i don't like the whole anthro costume stuff, and i'm certainly not into it in any real way.

But i do think that they can be misunderstood.

Overall i have no problems with them overall, as long as they're ok people i have no quarrels with furries. Although i don't plan on becoming one.

I guess that about covers my thoughts on them basically.

Personally I am both a furry and a fursuiter. Furry is the term of the fanf\dom as brony or pegasister while those who enjoy costuming are called furusiters ; ) Only like 25% of all furries have a costume. Most does not have any interest in owning one and some just can't because of the heat. Either way. Many furries I know LOVE MLP. including me  :D
I know there also excist MLP furusits like this

I have NO idea how the ventilation work and I have to admit moving around in one seems pretty hard since they lack fingers.

So yeah. I can admit I have met some weeeird furries there who take  the fandome waaay to serious and there IS some drama now and then, but beside that we are mostly normal people who enjoy animals and cartoons etc.  ^^

My fursuit : http://felixcani.deviantart.com/art/Christmas-fursuit-reference-375399632 Also They cost a FORTUNE! So if you ever run into one plese be gentle ^^
