Theory: Is Celestia Preparing For Something?

Alright, so we know next to nothing about Season 4, but I noticed something about Celstia's actions throughout Season 3.

Of course we have Twilight's transformation into a Princess. It's obvious her magic has exponentially increased as an alicorn responsibilities. As expected this would make her a well rounded defender of the nation she's suppose to rule.

Second there was Celstia's decision to release Discord from his stone prison in Keep Calm and Flutter On. She of course didn't explain why other than vaguely stating that she thinks his magic will come in handy at some given point in time.

Then In Magic Duel Celestia brings in important visitors for Saddle Arabia. Why would she do that? I think it would be to strengthen ties with them or something meaning that they weren't always so friendly to each other.

My point in all this is that Celestia almost seems to be preparing for something. Maybe something will pop up in season 4 and she knows she will have to use all the resources she can get in order to defeat it.

What do you guys think.

That she is planning something was my headcanon since I read about Faust saying that she wanted Twilight to be Celestia's successor.

But I have no idea what the writers will do.

I had my own ideas about some kind of nature restoration. You know, everything becomes like the Everfree Forest, Celestia and Luna release their powers and Twilight will be the first of a line of mortal rulers over Equestria. Some sort of when... god like beings leave their 'children' when they are ready to take care of themselves. And I always thought that if the Elements of Harmony someway represent the harmony among ponies, too, maybe they are not just only connected with their bearers. The Elements as some kind of key for that. And I also connect the existence of Cutie Marks with that and the ponies focus on destiny. Free will and predetermination as a balance, not a contrasive pair...

It's friggin' complex what I made up there. And I know it will never get to that point in the show. Even though I hope that the thing with destiny/freedom/choice will come up. It just feels like Celestia set the path for Twilight in some points and she never really departed from it, although there were decisions she made on her own.
