Corrosive Brony 48 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 I'm passionate about becoming a forensic psychologist. I love being able to help people with their problems, and helping them learn to love themselves. It all started when one of my friends was considering suicide. He had a hard life and really no one to count on, but after a while I was able to help him through it and he now has a wife, kid, and a job. After that happened I felt very... Whole? Haha but from their I've helped my friends with their smaller family and friend problems with great results! I also love the complexities of the human mind and why people do what they do 1 This amazing signature was made by Sir Lunashy, the go to pony for all of your signature needs! Lunas Husband 2,777 November 4, 2013 Share November 4, 2013 Oddly, my passion is working on the farm. Sure the job is really hard... and some days I don't like it... but its odd I love farming. I love being outside in the hot celestia(sun). I love the feeling of my hoofs in the dirt! Its just so great to work so hard and to know that I'll be helping feed other ponies. My other Passion is Cooking, I love to sit down and think of some crazy ideas for dinner or lunch. Sure half the time it does not taste to good lol, but when I do make something good.. its really good. I was hoping to one day become a cook! but ahh I don't see that happening any time soon.. or ever. 1 "Does not matter what they say, my sweet love! Discordian 6,015 November 4, 2013 Share November 4, 2013 Video games are, without a doubt, my greatest passion. I am so utterly satisfied by playing video games that nothing else in life really matters. The problem with that? You can't make money off of video games unless you're a developer, tester or professional gamer and I have no interest in any of those things. I play my way or not at all. I can't stand to play games I don't feel like playing. Yeah so that pretty much makes the rest of my life pretty shitty. I can't find a job because either I forget (yes, forget) to go job hunting because I'm playing games or because I just plain don't look like I can do any sort of job anywhere. If I could get a job doing some mindless and stable work to get me a paycheck then I would be perfectly okay. I'm probably gonna end up homeless and broken at some point because of this but video games are my life and there's little else I care about. Misty Rose 3,216 November 4, 2013 Share November 4, 2013 My passion is Theater. I just love anything to do with acting and drama. I have never had stage fright and learning my lines is a breeze so this all makes it easier to pursue my passion. I've been into acting and singing ever since I was a little kid, and I haven't stopped since. When I got to middle school and knew they offered Theater as an elective, I always took it every year. Then when I got to high school it was the same deal. I've been in Theater ever since I got to middle school and I really miss it now that I moved back to my home country. Here in El Salvador sadly, schools don't offer those types of cool electives, and I really miss getting up on the stage, acting out my part. It's just something I'm good at and really loved doing. -_- Luckily though I found a solution I've recently gotten into voice acting and I've already gotten some roles and IT'S SO MUCH FUN!! I'm not exactly on stage acting in front of an audience, but in more ways than one this is actually better. First there's no need to put on costumes or makeup (although the costumes are cool ) Then you don't have to memorize your lines, and last but not least you get to use different voices and accents instead of just your own. In regular theater, you mostly just use your own voice to act out the part of your character. However in voice acting, it's mostly working with different pitches and levels, and of course fun accents This is also a great way to start for anyone interested in getting into theater but may have some stage fright. If you're voice acting you don't have to perform in front of an audience. Just do several takes on your lines to get them just right, and submit It's that simple. So this may be a little different from my original acting in public passion, but it's still close and I still get to do the same thing I love, ACT! 2 My OC: http://mlpforums.com...pink-mist-r3726 TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF ME HERE!! Rough Pathway 157 November 4, 2013 Share November 4, 2013 My passion is pretty much the same thing as the OP. I want to be a skywarn spotter and a meteorologist for either the National Weather Service or the Storm Prediction Center when I'm a little bit older. When I was little, about 3 years old, an EF1 tornado came and destroyed our cars, garage, and literally tore out the electricity from our house. Apparently I was scared to go outside out of the house alone, even when there was blue skies, and I checked the weather all the time. As I got older I got less scared, and actually grew to love severe weather. When I was 11, there was a flood that went up all the way to the top of our cars, and we don't even live near any streams, lakes, rivers, oceans, or anything. We escaped unharmed but most of our stuff was destroyed. It left emotional scars, but strangely I still love severe weather. I'm the happiest during a good thunderstorm. I have a few other passions, but those are just minor, and they don't even begin to compare for my passion of weather, especially severe weather. 1 Signature made by the amazing Sir Lunashy I make PMVS. GhostPony750 959 November 4, 2013 Share November 4, 2013 My huge passion is cars, mostly car history. You have the speed and performance maniacs, these ones who doesn't care about the car, but tune it. (They are usually japanese cars fans). And you have the car maniacs. The ones who like the designs, the sound, the color, and the history of the car. Well, I'm one of these car maniacs. I totally enjoy looking at vehicles, it's amazing. Unlike most of the people, I don't care about performance, I care for the look, and history. I always try to find the "why", the "how" it was built. The available colors, the options, it's what really passionate me. So since japanese cars are simply boring, I dislike them. (Their history is just awful, really) So well, I mostly enjoy Muscle cars, and rally cars, mostly the Escorts. But of course, I also like speed, and I also like off road. So I'd like to be a rally driver, I always have fun driving at high speed in a quad in the woods, drifting, feeling the mud, the bumps and everything. Escort MKII RS1800: I'd love to pick one of these vintage escorts and do rally with them.
Rinkitty 589 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 Anyone who knows me, (which isn't a large list of homosapiens) knows that I'm madly inlove with The Legend of Zelda. I've been playing Zelda games since as late as two years old, and it's had a special place in my heart ever since. I honestly don't think anything will ever come anywhere close to Zelda in my mind. ~Siggy made by Kitteh O Shy <3 In a society that has destroyed all adventure, the only adventure left is to destroy that society~

Sabrinie 392 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 My passions are ceramics and reading Ceramics has always been one of my favorite art forms and after coming to college, that really got enforced. I knew I liked clay but I was never able to work on the wheel before coming to art school. Now, I can almost always be found in the ceramics studio either making something on the wheel, hand-building a sculpture, or glazing a piece that's already been fired once. Nothing feels better to me than clay squishing between my fingers. When I work on the wheel, the clay and water running down my hands makes me feel alive. Even when a piece doesn't work out, the process of getting it to wherever it is, is completely worth it. The process alone is stress relieving and just overall amazing. I love ceramics. I was the first kid in my kindergarten class to read and have been enjoying reading ever since. I always have a book with me and I read more than most people I know. One of my favorite feelings is finishing a book and not knowing what to do with your life. It's like having a book hangover. The book was amazing, but now that it's over and time to go back into the real world, you don't know what to do. It's so surreal, but oh so magnificent. What fun is there in making sense? Celtore 2,770 November 5, 2013 Share November 5, 2013 (edited) One of my biggest passions is the magic that is computers. (History time with Celtore!) I've used these machines since I was young. I started simple, a family windows 95 machine with fisher price games installed. Around grade 6-8, I came across a pokemon battling simulator called pokemon netbattle. This is sort of a pokemon battling simulator where people could host their own servers. In these servers, you could create small scripts that your users could interact with. This was my first hand at coding, pretty difficult "language" to start with too considering the documentation was horrible and simple examples were hard to find. The editor wasn't that user friendly either, but if I were to nitpick, I'd be typing all night... So around a year after the Vista disaster (or release date depending on your perspective), I found myself wandering towards Linux which is where things really started to come together for me. I started with Ubuntu, but after around half a year of just toying with Linux, I reformatted Vista after pure rage at its slowness. I then started seriously testing different flavours of Linux being a crazy distro-hopper. I tried out Mint, Opensuse, Debian, Mandriva, Fedora... Then I found Arch. The other systems were a cakewalk compared to this. I read loads of documentation and went through 3 attempts to install Arch. It took me the process of several days, but I managed to install it in the end. I learned a fair bit about Linux in general and the command line from this experience and I'm no longer terrified by it or MSDOS. So from there, I continued playing with simple scripting and eventually working my way to building my own computer in early-2012. Now, I'm proudly going through the first year of a three-year software engineering program. As for why I care so much, I care because I find computers to be a lot of fun. I don't mean facebook, steam or youtube although those can be pretty entertaining too. I love to play with the computer, building useful scripts to make my life easier, discovering and trying out new things, making my system look unique, making my computer highly efficient and blazing fast, testing the latest desktop GUIs and the list goes on. TL;DR: I like playing with overpowered calculators and writing incredibly long posts at 12:00 in the morning Edited November 5, 2013 by Celtore
RainbowCupcakelol 26 November 18, 2013 Share November 18, 2013 My passions would be: To end the wars between all of our countries. I just don't see how all of us are basically fighting over NOTHING. I want to stop it all,.Maybe not completely, but I would love to help other people with war torn countries. The other thing: I would love to be an artist! I want to express my feelings into canvas/paper and use paints, crayons, pencils and all that stuff to express how i am feeling at the time! (Please don 't laugh) I would also like to become a lawyer, because there are a lot of people out there that have had their family/friends killed/raped/hurt and all the judges do is send them to jail for a few years. I want to change that. I want to help those families that have lost their friends/family, have lost custody battles and cannot see their children, and all those things. I want to be able to make a difference. Last one (I think): The last thing my passion would be is to make human rights more... erm, how can i put this... more strong, i guess. There are alot of places that don't have as equal rights as we do, so I want to change that. I want those types of people to be able to vote, be ablew to CHOOSE a better future for them and their family. Thankyou for listening to my rant on my passions, I bet i killed you of boredom, but the things I just wrote were true, and I hope I can accomplish them. :3
Derpaholic 1,155 November 18, 2013 Share November 18, 2013 (edited) I have two big passions in life, music and visual arts.I've been drawing/painting/sculpting, et cetera for as long as I can remember, and for the longest time I wanted to make a career out of that for myself. At some point, however, I realized that my skills aren't good enough to ever compete in a market that is so saturated with other talented artists, and so, I abandoned that career ambition, and started focusing on music 100%.I'm still doing illustration as a hobby, but that's all it'll likely ever be.Let's segway to music. There was always music in our household when I was a kid, ranging from delta blues to punk rock, and from classical to reggae, though, I don't recall ever being especially musical as a child. I loved to sing for sure, but that's about it. I only started to develop serious interest in music around ages 11-12 while spending time locked away in a youth psychiatric wing.I picked up the Fender Stratocaster my dad had bought me for my 10th birthday, and started learning it in earnest, playing along to some of my favourite records, such as "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols", "Rocket to Russia", and "Led Zeppelin II".By the september of 2007, I figured I had developed enough as a guitar player, and formed my first band with a stranger who contacted me about an ad I had left online. Later, we obviously became best of friends and ended up playing in many groups together.I've been playing/singing in various acts for roughly six years now, and it's obvious to me that this is *exactly* what I want to do with the rest of my life. Music is vitally important to me at this point. It got me through those agonizingly slow three years that I spent behind lock and key in that ward.I don't care if I'll ever make it big or not. As long as I get to do what I love and be my own boss, that's all that matters to me.As of last week, though, things went downhill for a bit.I got kicked out of the band I've been playing with for four months now, just as we were getting finished writing our debut album. The rest of the group had made a unanimous decision to get rid off me, because my musical horizons no longer reflected theirs. They also said that what I'm currently fiddling around with is "too artsy", "pretentious", and "certainly not rock and roll."As much as it hurts to hear such things, I still have to respect their decision, because it was a democratic one, and, coming from a dirtbag punk rocker-background, I can certainly understand how they feel on some level or another. So that's about it.I'm currently on my own, writing songs, and trying to put a new act together, and in this promised land of heavy metal, I'm sure finding new musicians isn't a terribly arduous task. It certainly hasn't been in the past.Lastly, but not leastly, here's a few pics of some of the gear that I currently use. Peace, love, and empathy, guys! Cygnus 60 November 18, 2013 Share November 18, 2013 Writing: I've been writing as a hobby since I was in preschool, and while I don't think I'm going to strive for publishing I enjoy sharing my works online and reaching niche communities. Children and teens: I feel like they often get the short end of the stick when they shouldn't, such as in cases of abuse and neglect. The treatment for children, teens, and especially adults who speak up from outsiders can be as horrific as the abuse itself. Flight: Whether it's cartoons, creatures, or machinery, I'm fascinated by flight and flying things.
