Who still plays on the Gamecube?

Mr. Changeling

I was playing super smash bros melee and mario kart double dash on my gamecube the other day (yes, I still have a gamecube). So, in responce, I made this. Who still has a gamecube and more importantly, who still plays on a gamecube?

I play the occasional round of super smash bros currently, but the one game i keep going back to the GameCube is Super Mario Baseball. Easily the most fun ive ever played playing a baseball game.

This guy does haha. I have a purple one that has a broken lid, so I need to put a glass on top so it'll stay down hahaha, but when I get bored with my Xbox 360 or PC I often go back and play Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Party 7

I do, as well as every other Nintendo system besides WiiU.

Those old systems are much more fun than any modern system... hence why I only play retro games.

Sorta, I play my gamecube games on the Wii since I sold my older GC to make space and cash(especially since the Wii was BC). I still stand by that it is one of the most underrated platforms along with the Sega Dreamcast

This thread seems to be related to video games and consoles therefore I have moved it to Media Discussion.

We had a GameCube not long ago, but the laser for the disc reader randomly died. I remember playing Dark Alliance on that system, good times.

So which was the better console console: Wii or gamecube. Wii revolutionized the video game controller, however, more than haf the games didnt use the cool techniques, but used it as a regular conroler. That said, most of the games were crap, with a couple or really good games. Gamecube, althoigh didnt revolutionize much, caried on the legacy of the nintendo 64, giving it a more ps1 feel. Also, gamecube had better games than wii.

Haven't played Game Cube (or any games) lately, but I do still occasionally dust it off. Not only does my annual Zelda rampage require me to play Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, but I have a few other GC games that demand the occasional replay as well, such as Star Fox Assault, Sonic Mega Collection, Mega Man Anniversary Collection and Mega Man X Collection.

...And who could forget Super Smash Bros. Melee? sleep.png

I actually really have to agree with you there haha, I never really got as bored with my old games as I do with the new ones I get. A lot of new ones only have playability through 1 play through, but the old ones never really ceased to amaze

Gamecube is one of my favourite consoles. It just looks so ridiculous which makes it awesome!
I regularly use it to play Wind Waker, Smash Bros Melee and Mario Kart Double Dash. I have a bunch of other Gamecube games, but those must be my favourites.

Absolutely, I like to throw a Gameube game into my Wii on occasion. I have the superior Wii versions of a few though like Zelda TP, RE4, and Pikmin 2, but there are some GC only games I like to replay sometimes like Killer 7, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX, Soul Caliber 2, Zelda Collector's Edition and whatnot.

I do, although I usually just use my Wii instead to save me space in my TV stand. My sis and I play SSBM quite a bit, but I also play other games. And since my memory card broke ages ago, I try and see how far I can get in a single playthrough :)

I play on my gamecube, I still have one, although sometimes I just play on my Wii depending on the situation.

I've been playing basically just Pokemon XD and pokemon Colosseum though, nothing much else as of the moment.

I still have it though, and who knows how and when the urge will strike me to play another game :P.

Proud GameCube user right here!  My favourite games are probably Pikmin 1 and 2, Animal Crossing, and Super Mario Sunshine.  At one point, I had well over 40 games for it.  Nowadays, I usually play on emulators.

From time to time I enjoy going back to the GC, I dont have that may game like I did back then but games like Metal Gear Soild Twin Snakes, Smash Bros, Kirby Air Ride and Viewtiful Joe make me want to revist it again .

And was the GC really that bad?

Goes out buys 4* wireless gamecube controllers for wii and some classic gamecube games... Seriously I need to do that. The gamecube was one badass system I don't care what anyone thinks that system had some of the best multiplayers games ever.

I still own one. I usually play "Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life", "Spyro Enter The Dragonfly", "Star Fox Adventures", and "Mario Party 4". I own several other games as well; speaking of which, I should probably play them; it's been a while. I also find it easier to play it on my Wii, since it's already hooked up and such.

I still have one, stored in the original box. Actually not too long ago, I would spend a good amount of time playing with my PS2 LOL. I'd play San Andreas on it, beat it three times. I still use my old GC controller for Brawl if that counts.

Yeah I still play on it I would use my Wii but I replaced that with the Wii U and that can't play GC games. I normally use it for Gameboy Player and playing on PSO privater servers but I've been using a lot lately.

I spent too many hours on the GC back in Junior High. I retrospect I think I should have used that time to study or something but it's water under the bridge now i guess.

(edited)

I would really prefer a Gamecube to practcally anything, even a N64 (which my brother has, and I occasionally play it) wink.png

But really, Gamecube is the best.
