Oh I know what you're saying though I do believe it's a PERFECT example of what a good Sonic game is IF you discount it's god-forsaken bugs and loading times. I also believe it's story is pretty good in spite of a few random plotholes that don't ultimately affect the story.

I kinda wish they would tone down Amy's thing for Sonic. Lately that's all she's been as a character. I know that's the basic premise of her character and all but even she had a bit of a part to play in Adventure and Heroes (even if in the latter her ultimate goal was chasing Sonic) and she needs to have an expansion of character.

 

I haven't gotten far enough into the comics to know what she's like in that much. I only know bits and pieces cuz I've only read up to issue 100 and a few random ones after that. I do have the issue she was ranked as an official Freedom Fighter though so I know, like most everything else in the comic, she has a bit more to her character there.

I have been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since the first one came out on the Genesis.  Some of my family like my older brother was an NES boy while I was a Genesis boy and I idolized Sonic the Hedgehog.  I've seen both AoSTH and Sonic SATAM tv shows including Sonic Underground and the slightly muddled Sonic X show.  I personally am working on a Sonic/MLP RP on this forum and I aim to make Sonic as he should always be remembered.  A cool blue, impatient hyper-kinetic hedgehog who is just one word: Hero.

I don't really like Sonic games, just Sonic CD and Sonic 2.
But there is something i love of the Sonic series, the soundtrack, it's just god tier.

I've played almost all of the main sonic games and a few of the spinoff ones. Sonic 2 is my all time favorite. I didn't mind the werehog in Unleash, I just wished there was more platforming and less running from fight to fight. 

 

I definitely like the direction their taking sonic. There making his gameplay different from other 3d platformers out there. I also like the sense of speed and pin point accuracy needed for some the levels.

 

Also I love the music, its the only thing I listen to when I go out jogging.

My favorite game of all time is Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Yeah, it's just one game; you play one or the other by itself, you're only playing half of an amazing game. I still play through it every year.

I believe that Sonic 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 are what defines the games in 2D and 3D imo, that said almost every game up Sonic Heroes were solid games. Beyond that, Sonic Heroes was...oka at best, adimitantly Sonic Secret Rings was fairly enjoyable, but very unpolished, unleashed had decent 2D levels, but they ruined the entire game with the freaking werehog, but Shadow/'06/Black Knight? Dear lord those games were abysmal. Thankfully Colors and Generations fixed things

While Sonic 2 was good, I feel it was still too stressed by time. It could have been better. Sonic 3 was better but changed the art style and story telling a little too much.

I am a huge fan of this series. Always have been since I first played Sonic Heroes, eternity ago. From the start I always found all its characters SUPER super memorable and fun. Particularly Amy, I love that crazy fun stalkerhog. I especially love how she's more than just a stalker - she's also a loyal, caring friend with a lot of compassion. I really like that style of character.

And am I the only one here who really, really likes the Deadly Six? I really enjoy their goofy, fun and distinct personalities and how despite their differences, they still work amazingly as a team. Sega's really doing them dirty by putting their laser focus on Zavok and not giving the other five (except occasionally Zazz) the time of day. They need another chance as a group. Give them development and let them be their fun selves together. This goes double for Zeena and Zor, who are my favorite Sonic characters overall I also ship them but whatever. I need more of these two being a lovable lazy valley girl and mopey emo cutie respectively, please and thank you Sonic Team

Sonic Frontiers... yeah, not at all excited for it. Its clear that Sega and Sonic Team hasn't learned anything. They're trying too hard to give Sonic the spotlight, but its just completely overshadowed by far better games being brought in this year.

And Sonic 2 movie was pretty underwhelming at best. Sure it looked good on paper, but it's easily outperformed by way better movies being released. Doctor Strange and Top Gun: Maverick basically outperforms Sonic 2.

I doubt he’ll be a dumb muscle again considering the art style is closer to modern Sonic. I’m just wondering if Brian Drummond will reprise the role

I like Sonic. Looking forward to Origins and am curious on what will come out of the new show. I still haven't decided on how I feel about Frontiers, but hopefully it will be good.
