Do You Have More Than One "Best Pony"?

Why would there be a rule against someone's personal preference? It is YOUR opinion. No one can dictate that. =)

 

Plenty of fans have multiple favorites, so don't feel like you're alone or that you're somehow obligated to pick just one favorite in order to fit in. Admittedly, I'm not one of the fans who has multiple favorites. I've always been the type of person who clings onto one particular character to obsess over, and in the case of MLP, that character is Applejack. I do have five second favorite characters though. Hint: They're all in my sig.

I think it is time to revive this suck and do a little self promotion, the tie broke and Applejack came out on top so Twilight and Luna are now duking it out with Rainbow Dash for 2nd. Applejack has had some amazing character development in season 3 and it has for the most part continued in season 4 which I am very very pleased to see, I still love Twilight and Luna though but Applejack just keeps getting better.

I have two best ponies, Fluttershy and Rarity - I just can identify with them the most, and I have fallen in love in other their traits. And I also have ponies who I just like more than others - Twilight, Luna, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, thus far.

For me, "Best Pony" will switch between Twilight Sparkle and Rarity depending on the episode.  This season, Rarity has overall been top, but "Bats!" and "Maud Pie" had briefly tipped the balance the other way. 

 

Twilight used to be firmly Best Pony, but they made her "grow up" too fast.  I liked the old neurotic, snarky, and fairly cynical Twilight better than the new bland and more level-headed/mature Twilight of this season overall.  I hate to say it, but she's becoming too "good".

For me I have the point of thinking Rarity is their most well executed character with the most dimension, while I personally identify a lot with Pinkie Pie and consider her my 'crush' in the show. So the two are interchangeable as 'best pony' for me. Sometimes one of the other mane six will also briefly share that title depending on my mood.

I think I did once, forever ago, but I always felt like I was "cheating", so I went and chose a pony.

 

Twas before I came to my senses, realizing Twilight Sparkle was best pony. ^^

I do, but I do like Rainbow Dash a little more, not sure why.

I like Rarity a little more then the others because I find her more interesting.

I like all of the main 6, but those are 2 standouts.

 

If I had to say the one I like the least, it would be Fluttershy (Sorry those who like her). I feel she is very predictable in a lot of situations.

Obviously there are times where she is not, but this is how I feel about her.

Twilight Sparkle just edges Rarity for me, but they're both so awesome that I refuse to rank them 1/2. Instead Twilight is 1, and Rarity is 1b. I don't see what the problem is with having more than one favorite, though. I love all of the mane 6. People need to realize that least favorite doesn't necessarily mean dislike.

But Pinkie Pie is only just second because she's that super duper, but Scootaloo beats her to first place for me because I'm Scootys biggest fan

If I absolutely had to pick 3 favorite ponies, they would likely be AJ, Flutters, and Pinkie Pie. Honorable mention to Twi. Here's my reasoning.

 

AJ - Down to earth, and grown up, but can still be a dork. Extremely honest and would never turn away a guest, and realizes that family goes beyond blood relations. I can relate to her so much.

 

Fluttershy - Her uber cuteness should be the only reason I need. But, she's also shy, just like me, and I can relate to that. Just like Fluttershy, I tend to get drowned out when trying to make a point. And she is extremely kind.

 

Pinkie Pie - She'll go through great lengths to cheer up others, even at her own expense. And she won't stop until they're cheered up. And yet, she has a vulnerable side which is afraid that others don't like her parties. Also, Pinkamena actually looks beautiful, despite looking depressed.

 

 

Twi used to be in my top 3, but she's a bit overrated IMO and it's like the show is pushing her on us hard, while others, like AJ, don't get as much time for their characters to develop. Although I did like the Twi from Turnabout Storm, probably more than AJ, Flutters, and Pinkie Pie.
