The OOC Section for the new Equestrian Empire Roleplay section is now open so that all of your planning can be done and any character adjustment you need to make for your characters you'd like to place in the new world as needed. All of the Rules and everything you need to know is already there!

I think I'll stick with my bros over there. I'd have to see how this all turns out and if it's rules are actually moderated as well as they're claimed to be before having a real opinion.

The Actual Database for the Characters hasn't launched yet. The OOC section is open for people to be able to see the rules of the new section and start making edits to any characters they want to bring into it via Notepad, Word, or any word processing software for the Computer. Thus they can also start planning any roleplay that they would like since you don't have to have an approved character to plan one, you have to have one to start/play in it.  The actual Database will release as soon as all of the staff is finalized for the new section, which should be by the end of the week.

 

And when applying for Cast Characters, make sure to read the rules regarding tiers, because the application process is different for cast that are Tier-2 or higher. Tier 3 characters will be applied for in the database like normal. Do not use the Current Roleplay World Database for the Equestrian Empire. They will not be looked at, as the Equestrian Empire will have it's own.

Besides, I'll have more time to edit and nitpick. We have to PM you the cast characters and be active, correct? you have a month to prepare to be reading very, very long applications.

No harm in that. In fact if a user is interested in a character, I highly suggest that they do something similar, especially since most Cast Applications in within themselves will take a pretty long time to write.

 

And yes, Activity with Cast characters is a must. I'm not saying a cast character should be in every thread. What we're going to be looking for in cast characters the most are going to be personalities. We want the user that's going to be playing them to think almost exactly like they would think, so they would know which roleplays would be important for them to be in and which wouldn't. Basically, using Rainbow Dash as an example, we want someone that can actually be Rainbow Dash, not just play her.

In my opinion, regarding Equestrian Empire, I think this is the best idea to happen since Poniverse, so you can imagine how excited I am.

In other, simpler words, do we send in the applications now, or do we send them in starting August 12th?

Meh. Can't say I'm really interested. The whole point of roleplays is to have freedom, and that's just too restrictive for me. I say leave the rules up to the creator of the RP.

 

But to each his own, so I suppose at least some people will enjoy it.

 

The reason for the restrictions is because of the fact that we are trying to remain as true to canon as possible. We're striving to make this place as much like Equestria as possible in all aspects that we know of. This does not affect the current Roleplay World at all, and it will remain for those who want more freedom.

Alicorns are still allowed in the free section. This is not a change to the current system or how it will function. It's an addition of an entirely new system that functions all of it's own. At it's launch, it will have it's own complete character database so that people don't have to completely re-work their free-base characters if they don't desire too. Alicorns are only outlawed because of their potential power levels and the fact that they seem to be vary rare.

August 12 is the date that you can start sending them. I want to give new members from Bronycon an equal chance to app for the characters they love.
