Who do you think the oldest mane 6 character is?

So, who do you think it is?

 

I'm rolling with Rarity, simply because as a filly, she appeared the oldest. Plus, she already has a job and lives alone, aside from Sweetie Belle. She also seems to act the most mature at times.

Well if you look at Fluttershy as a filly compared to the other mane 6 as fillies, Fluttershy obviously looks older, unless she just matured faster or something. Rarity seems older though, as well as maybe Applejack.

I'd say Fluttershy. Because in the "Griffin The Brushoff" Episode, she told Pinkie Pie that she was a year older than her. All of the mane 6 live alone, but some of them don't have jobs, probably since they're all taken. Pinkie Pie as well, lives alone and has a job. They probably are all the same ages, but just really close birthdates. Age doesn't really matter in this show, so we don't know.

i think its  rarity because she seems the most mature, and  is a fashion designer or if you count equestria girls maybe they are teenagers and their rules are alittle different than ours

I'm pretty sure that Fluttershy is the oldest out of the Mane 6 but, Rarity and Applejack come close to being nearly up to Fluttershy's age. I guess we don't notice the age in the show unless, we look at their appearances.

The only character with which any of us can deduce for the ages of the mane six is fluttershy. But if I had to guess id go for rarity. Not that she looks old, there is a sense of maturity. Or maybe applejack or twilight. I don't know just a shot in the dark.

I honestly don't know, but I think I can narrow it down to either Fluttershy or Applejack.

 

As we all know, Fluttershy had really long legs as a filly, and so it's possible she was simply older than the other ponies. Lauren Faust said something to the effect that Fluttershy went through an awkward phase at that point in time. Whether or not that has anything do with age or maturity, I don't know, but it would make sense. If it weren't for the longer legs as a filly however, I would never guess that Fluttershy is the eldest, due to her sweet, child-like disposition.

 

Applejack is a good candidate for being the eldest. Not only does she display wisdom and maturity more often than the other ponies do, but she also has a very motherly side to her, especially in regards to her little sister Apple Bloom. Rarity's relationship with Sweetie Belle is a lot more like a typical sister relationship than AJ and AB's relationship, so I'm inclined to think Rarity and Sweetie are just a bit younger than the Apple siblings. I could be wrong though.

 

What's interesting to note is that, according to Applejack, she was the last pony in her class to get a cutie mark. Applejack also said that she was even littler than the Cutie Mark Crusaders when she received her mark. One thing is for sure, Applejack was either really young when she got her mark, or she simply was a late bloomer in both growth and maturity.

 

Rarity is definitely one of the top three oldest IMO.

But my answer is the only logical one.
During the episode going through how all the mane 6 got their marks, you clearly know it's all on the same day.  Taking that into account, Dash, AJ, Pinkie, Rarity, and Twi are all the same size, leaving fluttershy, who can be seen being much larger as she is further along with her lanky legs and longer body, etc.

So no other answer can argue against that.
I rest my case.

I feel like because Fluttershy has commented that she is a year older then Pinkie it knocks her out for oldest.

 

I actually think its Fluttershy, I think it explains why her filly design is a bit awkward, because of the fact shes the oldest and growing and thus why her legs are so long.

 

I suppose I could be wrong, but from that physical way she looks as a filly that has been my headcannon personally.

I think Rainbow Dash is the oldest one because she peformed a Sonic Rainboom as a filly. She must've been the strongest one, along with Applejack (you know bucking apples and stuff) to have the strenght to perform it hence I think she is the eldest one.

If what you say is true then you must have been a really old child, some might have to even say a adult in a childs body. Not in the way of comedy, or intelligence, but of maturity.

 

Fluttershy could of been developing faster then the other five. While unlikely, it does happen.

Since it's difficult to decide based on age, I'd say Rarity acts the oldest. The only actual fact we have is that Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie Pie, and that's not much to go on.
