Okay, not really, but still! The silliest thing I could think of was "Hasbro has decided to declare all the everything to be canonical", but having the fic that shall not be named simultaneously canonical with stuff like The Games We Play and Friends Have Benefits is kind of... well, actually completely impossible.

 

But that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well, this is very exciting indeed. I know we're all hoping for something season 4 related, but I can't help but wonder if it's too soon for that. After all, Comic Con was only able to us those early animatics, rather than finished scenes. I'm guessing it has to do with Equestria Girls. If you check The Hub's website, they've added EQG to their list of shows. However, they could have just created that page for the sake of the movie premiere. And maybe this news pertains to that. Whatever the big news is, I hope it's actually news and not something we already know or have seen.

Oh well, atleast I can come back and hopefully hear about it or whatever.

 

I'm thinking it'll be S4 related, maybe the release date of it, or possibly some random clip or something.

I believe there is a possibility of them announcing a spin-off or sequel series for the MLP:FiM. Ever since I saw the sequential concept sketch for the upcoming season, I felt perhaps one series of sketches had to do with the whole arc coming to a full circle (to where everything started; s1e1 – but I will not state further from that) And because of that, I saw a possibility of the current series’ story coming to a close with a certain obvious conclusion.

 

The probability of the announcement being CMC related is perhaps very minimal. But at this point of time, it will be more appropriate for the storywriters and Hasbro to refit the series for the targeted audience (young girls) if the overall age of the characters go down to that of Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.

 

Right now the whole story has reached a point where Twilight’s new role is associated with increased amount of responsibility and her journey to find a role in the MLP universe along with rest of her friends. The whole saga is supposed to have a definite conclusion. Sooner or later as soon as she enters the matured theme where Celestia is supposed to be at, it’s no longer going to be appropriate theme for the targeted audience from Hasbro’s perspective.

 

But at the same time, the whole franchise is still making a lot of money for them. So to me I think there’s a fair amount of possibility of different series starting in near future and although I hope this isn’t what they will announce tomorrow, there is… a very little possibility of such announcement. I actually hope not however.

• S4 release date before Novemeber.
• An actual movie with ponies.
• A spinoff focusing on Celestia and Luna's origins and their quest to defeat Discord, eventually leading to a climatic showdown between Celestia and Nightmare Moon. That, or Equestria Prevails.
• An guest voice actor as awesome as John de Lancie. Someone like Tim Curry or Mark Hamill or Bruce Campbell or one of the Doctors.
• Derpy. Just Derpy.
• A crossover with Adventure Time or Doctor Who.
• My OC becomes an alicorn.
• Hasbro has successfully cloned John Candy, John Belushi, Chris Farley, Bernie Mac, Heath Ledger, George Carlin, and my deceased dog for the hell of it.

It's going to be the season 4 release date, I'm calling it now.

 

I don't think they're going to show finished animation yet. If they had it, they probably would have shown that at Comic-Con and not the storyboard (?) animatics.

It's probably going to be the Season 4 premiere date, a clip of Season 4, or possibly both.  But I can't really see it being anything aside from that.

The suspense is killing me....if it's going to be the season 4 release date it sure better be before January. If it isn't the release date hopefully it's a trailer, clip or teaser of season 4.

I would think the news should be more dramatic than a mere season start date with all the secrecy.

---It could be the introduction of male characters.

---Rarity could fight a giant crab.

---One of the gals could get a (gasp) colt friend...(heard rumors about this.)

---Lauren Faust could be coming back to the show.

---Another movie with ponies this time.

---The show will be aimed at an adult audience with stronger, better story lines. It will air on prime time.

--- Silverhoof is now a cannon character.

 

---Spin off series about Twilight's childhood in Canterlot.

--- Season five is confirmed

Lauren's busy with Wander Over Yonder, I don't think she'd have time to do anything meaningful with MLP at this point.

 

The show being deliberately aimed at adults and airing on primetime? Not happening. MLP is still a toy franchise.

 

Hasbro making show accurate toys? That would be awesome, but not something that they'd advertise. How would they even advertise it, anyway? "We're finally making toys that look like the characters from the show"?
