Scootadress 361 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 Currently, me, I made quite a few or bought through points a few. (I don't see the purpose of points, but I only had a few so I spent some on designs since I was given random points) Most were just never used in anything, but I drew them. I had a few I can't show through drawing yet since I would need to digitally do so and I can't right now. What oc of yours tends to be the "favorite?" Well, other then doing the side things that I normally do, (like add personality to a background pony that gets no love) my favorite OCs are really three (but 2 will only be listed since 1 isn't done yet). I love Rainbow Mist's design. When I draw her and explain more about her, I would use her as Role Play. The idea was played off of the events that happened in MMC. I wanted a unicorn with either A) Doing the weather or Something with fashion but not with Clothing or shoes. She's best to draw. She helps with the weather but also creates perfumes on the side. My other would be a pony dubbed Passion Blossom (Based solely on the actual fruit, Passion Fruit) She has the cutest design and character. She was just so innocent. ~Silver Essence~ 2,625 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I have one and one only. Swift Star is where it's at. However, I think most should only have one, as that sort of takes away any originality towards others who had the similar idea. It's ok if you have less than 3, but more than that, I personally think it should be minimum for some.

Its fun to draw and name characters, but most don't get that much recognition. ^^" It depends for people. I used to RP a LOT more but they suddenly stopped. I had OCs I used for them only. I have lots of them for certain things I guess. Like for an ask blog, I have the ones listed and a few more, but other then that, they aren't used which is sad SCOOTALOO = Best CMC PINKIE PIE=Best Pony LUNA=Best Princess
Blue Moon 6,341 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I technically have 3 OCs, but I usually only use my main one, Blue Moon. I spent the most time on him, and worked very hard to get his design right. The other two I didn't spend as much time on, so I don't really use them as much. Autumn Blue Moon Clear Skies Summer

I've also given him two daughters with Rainbow Dash, Sky and Moon Chaser, both pegasi. "The dead don't talk. ReGen 1,466 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I only have one, Supernova. That's one sexy pony. I think that most people should just have one. If you're gonna make a character, you mustn't rush it. I think that's why OC's are usually sub-par, 'cause people want to have so many OC's and they're usually lackluster. Pinkie D Pie 1,036 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 Let me think. Basically as far as ponies go, I have five. The first one I made was rushed and poorly made so she has not seen the light of day in months. Then I wanted a fun OC, something with power to be used only for fun. So that was when Shadow Stalker came around(Links in Sig...). I realized after a while of having Shadow Stalker that I wanted to ponify my fake name, Aarod Brachuin, and so he came around. He has sorta turned into my main one. At school one day, I thought up the concept behind a brother and sister known as Cocoa and Dark Chocolate, so of course they had come around. There are more in my head from Private Rp's, one being Storm Starter, who if I ever make, which I probably will, will be my only Pegasus. Now because that might be a long read, I shall simplify this. Quillusion is my first and least favourite. She was poorly made and hasn't been used in a RP here in forever. Shadow Stalker is for fun so hardly ever gets used either. Aarod Brachuin is my main guy and get's used quite a bit. Cocoa is new and has been used once. Dark Chocolate is new and has never been used. Out of them, Shadow Stalker is probably my favourite as far as creating and making went. There's just something about making a fun OC that can be evil. Oh and since other people are putting things about the number of OC's I think I shall to. I personally don't see anything wrong with having many OC's Some people make one for a certain RP because nothing else will fit, and that is fine. So I see no problem with having, five, ten, even twenty OC's. My OC's Shadow Stalker/Aarod Brachuin/Dark Chocolate/Cocoa

Fluttermena 1,223 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I'd say I have around 25 of them with varying degrees of detail, and more on the way. They're not just pointless characters though, I'm building an expanded universe with all my fanon and the OCs are designed to be fanfic characters. I have no idea if I'll ever get around to writing the stories however: between my fear of getting jossed and the fact that worldbuilding is just as fun as actually writing, I'll probably end up with a gargantuan ammount of notes but nothing that I can actually publish.

I didn't think much about her color scheme but more on her backstory. My current OC, also my Ponysona has a better color scheme but she has no backstory since she's based on me. Ampharos 1,009 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I have 7 pony OCs and a draconequus OC. But right now I've been really focused on my pony OC Blaze Finder. He's fun to RP as and I just love writing for him. His back story is one of the more thought out ones out of my OCs as well. I use to be hooked on my OC Diamond Dust, just a side note. If we were to talk about non pony OCs... well then I could literally talk all day. No seriously. I bet I could talk about all my characters in depth and it would take almost 24 hours. I might later do what Star Scribe did and make a list here, but most likely tomorrow. RWBY DISCUSSION THREAD
akalink 163 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I have three though only one has a visual realization. Vital Cage (meaning Living Dead) who you can see in my avatar is a immortal cult (Mary Sue much) who slightly based on the character Harry Potter. His mother who was a high powered unicorn used a life spell to save his life as a young filly. He now cannot die. He has fought several wars including the war against the crystal empire where in battle in king Sombra's castle was blasted in the face with a killing curse. He lost the flesh in his face leaving him with an exposed skull that is persevered in function by his immortality. Because of his appearance he has become a wondering Nomad. He then meet the next OC I have before return with her to Equestria. The next OC I have is Penny Tonic (taken from Pentatonic scale). She is a filly unicorn orphan (Mary Sue much). She meet Vital one day out in the Everfree woods looking for food. Vital saved her from several timberwolves. Despite his appearance she stuck to him anyway. They became good friends. The final OC is unrealted to the other two. His name is Twelve Tom (taken from Twelve tone). He is a cold and calculating Pegasus living in Canterlot. He is the royal composer working under Princess Cellestia and Luna. He is actually flightless due to a broken wing at a young age. He is my villain character.
Scootadress 361 July 30, 2013 Author Share July 30, 2013 I'd say I have around 25 of them with varying degrees of detail, and more on the way. I have no idea if I'll ever get around to writing the stories however: between my fear of getting jossed and the fact that worldbuilding is just as fun as actually writing, I'll probably end up with a gargantuan ammount of notes but nothing that I can actually publish. I would say that I have the same problem, instead, with my world and my ideas ending up clashing. Because of my short, oh so short, memory for design, I must draw everything out and then actually work, which is very tedious and I must do this for almost half of the things I'm forced to do to get them to stick. (Same for school) I think world building is VERY fun actually, its just hard to write. Currently, I have as many (if not a few less) then @. I come up with designs that I can't ever either use or name. Like, for example: I had the idea to make a pony with schizophrenia by showing all these ponies as her 'hallucinations' and she would also have dreams of humans but never have actually heard of them. This was supposed to create into a huge storyline about how Equestria really was made. Problem? I can't draw backgrounds as of yet digitally. I also wanted to make an ask account based on 3 sisters: Meet the Pie Trio. (NOPE, Not THAT Pie family) White Pie, Tomato Pie and Pizza Pie. Yet again: BACKGROUNDS. My advice:Maybe instead of notes, try outlines of what every chapter should be, and then when you write, it wouldn't be stressful. On top, you should make character sheets or world sheets just as a reference and you can even add it within the story. I've been trying to write a story myself and publish it, but I am better at drawing stories out then actually writing them out. Maybe if you can't exactly write, there are other means of telling a story that isn't just putting it down on paper. Maybe doing it in a unique way would help too. Nomadic 210 July 30, 2013 Share July 30, 2013 I have only made one, but whenever I make any character, whether be for a fandom or Pen and Paper games, I probably make at least half-a-dozen different back stories to see how my character could turn out. Just as example my OC Monkshood was originally going to be more akin to a Medieval Alchemist where his end goal was going to be try to gain immortality, or I was going to make him a Earth Pony who was jealous of Unicorns so he learned potion-making. In the end though, I decided to nix both of those back stories just to make my character not overly convoluted. 1 OC Info: Monkshood, the Apothecary, Denarius, the Gambler (In Progress)
Tommy9151 17 August 22, 2013 Share August 22, 2013 I wouldn't call my creations "OC's", I'd call them witnesses as that was their purpose when I animated them for Attorney Online. My cases shifted from using stock canon characters to full cast OC's, and with the way my trials are designed, the numbers can be rather large for one case. GrimCW 658 August 22, 2013 Share August 22, 2013 None, nadda, zip, and zero. Never was that imaginative, and doll makers make me cringe at their lack of originality when it comes to really unique characters. Can't different ponies have different style manes?! I mean Vinyl Scratch is rather unique, no other pony like'er! But long long ago, and many moons past, someone did create these skins for me to use in Quake 2. though I am missing one here...
