And so it is settled - the deadline is finally upon us. I think I said I would reveal the people I have chosen. (for Episode 1, that is) Well, without further ado, here is the list:

 

Link = Dudeguy676

Aryll = Ccondelli

Grandma = Shiek927

Orca = TheBronyHeart

Tetra = Ccondelli

Gonzo = Jble

Quill = Jble

 

In case anyone's not satisfied with said role, message me. After all, I have included people who have auditioned quite long ago, so I'm not sure what people's opinions are.

 

And thus all is done. I thought Shiek927 left, but it turns out he's still around. That means that everything is finally done! Or at least the audition parts for episode 1...unless if someone doesn't want to be in it anymore, of course.

 

But just to repeat myself, it is much appreciated for you to participate in this thing.

Alright... Good morning!

 

Here is a new thread regarding that thing from... well, quite some time ago. You know, the Legend of Zelda Wind Waker Abridged (overly long title). I created a new thread in order to avoid a confusing mess, considering the old one, in my opinion, kind of got jumbled.

Introduction:

 

So here's the jig, summarized:

 

I enjoy comedy. I enjoy parodies. So what does that mean? I create a parody of one of my favourite franchises ever, The Legend of Zelda. (And yes, I am aware it has already been done. I just want to do it as well.)

 

Also, it's not something I just wanted to do recently. I tried executing the idea a year ago, which ended in failure (and I'm NOT going to publicly release it). However, I think I've become better over the course of time, and am ready to try again.

 

Where does this thread fit in in all of this? Well, I would really appreciate it if you guys could come in with help regarding voicing the cast. I'm serious, I would really appreciate it. However, the options do not limit themselves at casting characters. I also accept co-writing, and whatever else can pop up that is needed.

 

I know there are some people who already sent in auditions for casting several characters, and I would like to again thank those who did. However, I'm also going to try to be critical and look for the best possible cast, so please don't be offended if you're rejected, or asked to improve.

• DudeGuy676 = I appreciate your efforts on voicing multiple characters. I also say that my opinion on your Gonzo's voice improved.
   

• Pokota = Your auditions were pretty nice. However, I don't see you appearing in the first episode. I can imagine you playing the King of Red Lions with this voice, though. I personally think it kind of fits...
   

• TheBronyHeart = Your take on Orca was very impressive. I can imagine you voicing other characters as well, that is, if you feel like it.
   

• Ccondelli = I liked your Tetra's voice, but there's some room for improvement. Aryll is a consideration, depending on how things go. Sorry to say that I didn't like grandma, though.
   

• FerrousPhantom = I found your Gonzo voice to be pretty impressive.
   

• Jble = I personally thought your Link and Gonzo was weak, but I really liked your Quill voice. Just make sure to pronounce words clearly.
   

• Shiek927 = I would actually like to have female voices, but considering grandma is, well, old, it actually works out pretty well. Your Link voice was also pretty nice.

 

 

If you want to send in an audition, you're free to do so by any means. Be it either YouTube, MP3 files or whatever method you have. Just make sure that the auditions are of decent sound quality, and to the best of your efforts.

 

Currently, my top priority with casting is giving all the characters in Episode 1 a voice. However, you can always audition for characters who appear in the future.

 

Episode 1 Characters:

 

• Link (the young protagonist)

• Aryll (the protagonist's even younger sister/damsel in distress)

• Grandma (the protagonist's evil grandmother/exposition person)

• Orca (an old, senile man who “trains” Link in the art of the sword)

• Tetra (the dreamy, eccentric action girl)

• Gonzo (the girly man with the bad ass facade)

• Quill (the postman representing a door-to-door salesman)

 

Other Significant Characters:

 

• Niko (idiot henchman)

• Ganondorf (villainous antagonist)

• King of Red Lions (the protagonist's mysterious guide and advisor)

• Tingle (er... look him up...)

• Medli (plot point)

• Makar (plot point)

• Great Deku Tree (an ancient tree that talks)

 

Of course, there are other characters, but considering how insignificant many of them are, it's a mystery whether they'll show up or not.

yeah, I might try and do some other characters. I'd actually enjoy that. Re there any specifics that you'd like me to try for? I'm at a loss for which to choose. :3

Uh... How about Ganondorf? Have it be deep, menacing, and... to be fair, I haven't worked out how his voice is going to sound, so maybe you could drop in your own ideas into it?

 

Have him say some cliche villain lines for starters?

I'll start practicing; can you give me a brief overview of the KoRL's personality in this, maybe a couple of throwaway scenarios I can use to get into character with? Giving him the voice of Stanley the Plaid Tool amuses me.

I didn't realize Ganondorf would be a character as well, would you mind if i tried out for him too? Also, are there any specific lines you would want from him?

I'm sorry for not mentioning. Considering he is a pretty significant character, I thought it would be obvious. And no, I wouldn't mind - anybody can try out for any role.

 

Unfortunately I don't have any lines for him.

Hm... Unfortunately, no. During the long time where absolutely nothing happened, I started to reconsider the ideas for certain characters. Therefore some characters are, for now, blank.

 

I have already started on seeing how most of them work out. I'll update the original post later on with more detail.

You seem to put a lot of effort into this. I kind of admire that. You know, its hard to tell you what to change, considering both times you put up an impressive work above my initial expectations.

 

But if there is something I would say, then its that canon Tingle (as well as mine, depending on whether I'll pull of another stupid change-of-mind) seems pretty flamboyant, or something like that.

Flamboyant huh? Hmm, that might go over easier if I had some practice lines from you. Lines that he would probably say sometime in the show perhaps?

Nice to have gotten a part. When it came to ol' Granny, this series is plainly trying to be funny and satirical, so that's what I went for.
