Hangman 320 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 (edited) I have never really been a fan of Fluttershy but I think EG made me understand her a bit more.On the same subject, I didn't like the Rainbow Dash as much. Moonlight 7,290 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 EQG made me love Rarity and Rainbow Dash. After going back to the actual show and watching their episodes, I fell in love with their characters. So, I suppose EQG was the push I needed to enjoy Rarity and Rainbow Dash more. matching setups with my bff pathfinder
Rainblow H. Ash 5,091 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 Yes, of course! Equestria Girls made me realize that one character is pretty awesome and that I should've liked them sooner... I'm of course talking about Flash Sentry. 3 #bringbackmerriwetherwillaims
Sugar Cube 4,843 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 (edited) I like all of the characters a lot, but I definitely enjoyed certain characters more than others. Twilight was her usual adorkable self, and since she occupied most of the screen time, I would say the movie only made me love her even more. I'm also less worried about Twilicorn. Fluttershy got a good amount of screen time and dialogue for a change, which was great. She was more entertaining in EQG than she was in all of season 3. Rarity was the one who came up with the plan that got Twilight voted as the Fall Formal Princess, and I for one love seeing Rarity prove herself useful whenever possible. Pinkie Pie was hilarious, especially whenever she broke the fourth wall, so I would say the movie did her justice. Applejack was fine. I loved seeing her show up two guys by carrying a table better than they could. I also liked seeing how she had the guts to speak against Sunset Shimmer, because I always like seeing AJ's fiery side. Unfortunately, Rainbow Dash was a little forgettable. She made her "so awesome" face and ruled at soccer, but her overuse of the word awesome was just... a bit too one-dimensional for Rainbow. MLPFanatic34 3,241 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 Yeah I was sad they didn't show too much of Rainbow Dash, I enjoyed seeing Twilight trying to adjust to being a princess and then learning that she can handle it, I also enjoyed seeing Rarity and Fluttershy in their roles as well as Pinkie doing the Fall Formal committee, also loved Big Mac and AJ dancing at Fall Formal. I have to agree with you on Rarity's part, because I did not like her character in the show, but after I saw the movie, my respect for her grew, and as for Rainbow Dash, she is my second favorite of the mane 6.
Scootalove 10,690 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 I really did like Rarity and Fluttershy's character more, even though they didn't reel me in the show but in the movie I was really shocked. Then, I started to fall in love with them. 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Feather Gem 967 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 I thought Twilight was wonderful in it simply because of the ending. How she would (spoilers, though I'm sure if you're here you don't mind) sacrifice everything to save a world that wasn't even her. Sacrificing failing an exam, that's alright, but sacrificing everything...that's different. She's also adorkable when she has a crush but I wouldn't mind if that didn't happen again xD 1 DiSCoRd'S AppRENtICe Promise Me - A Fanfiction By Feather Gem
Sir.Flutter Hooves 2,953 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 Rarity. I use to think she was all full of herself but when I saw her trying to help Twilight by making those pony ears and tails I finlly accepted her as one of my favorite ponies/humans! 1 This fantastic signature is made my by awesome friend Rainbow Skywalker! AnonyPoni 564 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 For some reason, EQG Rarity was just adorable. Her facial expressions were great I also liked Fluttershy's shirt... I have no idea why And RD is a badass dancer. And Pinkie was just awesome.... Huh, I guess I liked every EQG character so much that there's no net difference woo hoo
~Squishy Skies~ 756 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 No. They completely ruined Dashie's tomboy-ish demeanor by throwing her in a mini-skirt and boots. Fluttershy was really cute, however. 4 Rabbit-Kin ~Paris' Waifu
Azrael the alicorn 72 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 I have the right word: No. N-O. Is always the same character, just like Spike. There is no difference between the human version or the pony version.

Twiliscael 3,961 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 Equestria Girls didn't make me like any characters more. You know why? Because none of the characters in the movie, save for Twilight, Spike, and Sunset Shimmer were even the same characters. That human Applejack? Not really Applejack, just a human who happens to be like a mirror of her. That human Rarity? Same thing, technically not the same character. Only Twilight, Spike, and Shimmer went through the portal, and therefore they're the only ones who are technically the same character in the human world as they are in the pony one. 2 I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . . What I have to say in response to this is that you have to consider pony versions live pony lives. These are teenage human versions. They live completely different. It would be hard to translate Equestria to a High School 100%.
Zygen 6,066 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 Eh, not really, not to say I disliked EqG's because i did enjoy it, but the characters in the movie where (Besides the very beginning and end) not the same mane 6 quite. They where alternate versions, so it didn't really affect my pony version judgement honestly. Thats just me though. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! How are you supposed to go from a magical land of ponies and dragons and griffins, to High School? 3 I am a Brony. I love being a Brony, Twilight is best pony. MichaelxXxTrixie 433 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 EG Gave me an odd interest in The Great and Powerful Trixie despite her screen time only being a few seconds. Shanks 10,817 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 No not really, it did give me a push from opposing twilicorn to being neutral but that is not exactly the same as liking or disliking a character. I liked Twilight even when my opposition to twilicorn was at its strongest if anything it was one of the things that fueled it, which really makes the whole if you disagree with the direction they are taking a character that you hate the character argument a bit ridiculous. Other than that no changes, they could have done a bit better with the other mane 6 but I am still as much of an Applejack fan as I always was. The Awesome One 1,315 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 It made me love all the characters more but I wasn't that big a fan of Rarity or Fluttershy before Equestria Girls but I guess watching it made me like them more for some reason. Also, Fluttershy looks so adorable and innocent :

CutieMarkChallenged 11 August 8, 2013 Share August 8, 2013 (edited) I have to admit, at first I hated the thought of twilicorn. But now, even though I have no idea when it happened, I'm okay with it. As for changing my thoughts about how I liked a character, not much has changed for me. I pretty much see them as the same characters as before. I love how Rarity is more expressive in the movie. Apple Jack has more of a tough side. Rainbow Dash's character finally gets to show that she's a little deeper than she's normally portrayed. Pinkie shows that while she does love to laugh, friendship is really important to her. Twilight shows a little more of her insecurities and how she works to overcome them. They all show in one way or another that they're all willing to stick up for one another, like real friends should. Or, at least, that's how I saw it. Felix 1,363 August 8, 2013 Share August 8, 2013 Like others said, I really learned to like all the characters even more! But specifically, I learned to appreciate Pinky Pie more. She really stood out in a different way, and it made me see what people like about her. I can now say I officially love Pinkie Pie. 2 Credit to Kyoshi for the awesome signature! Rappy0 338 August 8, 2013 Share August 8, 2013 Not really I can't see how it would, it's nothing that the show couldn't do. Heck I think the show dose a better. Alternate Twilight already proves that it's not a 100% copy of Equestria if it was Twilight's copy would be there and would already be friends with them and IMO would have made the movie a lot better and funnier if pony Twilight would have to avoid human Twilight while acting like her and it would have filled a few plot holes. Anyway, we don't know for sure if the thing that made me like them more will be transferred over to FiM because Canterlot High isn't a 100% copy of Equestia. It kinda killed RD for me a little with her saying awesome all the time which she doesn't do in the show all that much. Heck the only time I can remember in show of her doing that is in Applebuck Season. Also her acting like a jerk to Twilight after just meeting her. Besides it's non-canon anyway so it doesn't matter if they did or not. So I guess all my post is just a long way of saying no.
