What if there was a My Little Pony FiM video game for XBOX, PS3, etc.?

someone was in the process of making a skull girls esk game, titled "My little pony:fighting is magic". Hasbro of course shut it down once they started to release alpha builds

As you can see, pretty skull girls like.

But a FF type jrpg would be damn amazing if I could make my own pony.

I believe a 3DS pony game would be better, after all, the younger audience are more into portables than home consoles for these kind of games. I would like an RPG, but considering the target audience, it might not be good for most of us

im with you, i think that a portatil console would be the best desition for hasbro, a 3ds game or a apple/android app, almost all of us love skyrim but i think that hasbro never make a very deep game....  we have to think also like Ha$$$$bro they never loosee any money

I would hope that they make it deep and on a good engine. Yeah, I AM obsessed with the persona series, but I believe a Persona game (Preferably persona 4) has a nice RPG basis and the way they have "Social links" with people that you slowly become friends with would work out great in a MLP game because MLP:FIM IS about friendship after all. I have a really nice vision in mind for a 3D MLP game but I wonder if people would enjoy a game that is a carbon copy of the show. I think it would be nice if there were multiple storymodes. For example, the Mane 6 storymode that tells the tale of the mane 6 where you play as twilight. A spike storymode, (because why not). And a CMC storymode where you play as Apple bloom.

A Trixie boss battle would be so intense.

Well, here's an idea I had at school today:

Celestia, Luna, and the Mane Six sans Twilight get kidnapped, and it's up to the aforementioned lavender alicorn to save them. There are six 'areas'. The first five have a member of the Mane Six at the end, and the sixth has Celestia and Luna at the end. When you rescue Mane Six ponies, they become playable characters, who each have their own unique ability.

Twilight Sparkle: Can fire magic beams to defeat enemies.

Pinkie Pie: Can triple-jump to reach areas inaccessible by other characters.

Rainbow Dash: Can launch herself forward at high speeds to knock out enemies and break through barriers.

Rarity: Can levitate things blocking her way.

Fluttershy: Can flap her wings to blow enemies away.

Applejack: Can use her lasso to grab items to use, and grab enemies, then throw them back to defeat them.

The idea is that you have to use all six playable characters to complete the game.

I'd love a MLP game.  I think the best style for the game would be an RPG, kind of like Final Fantasy.  You could be Twilight and get the rest of the Mane Six to join your party and you could play through the show's storyline with some new side stories to flesh out the game.

An RPG would be interesting, but probably very difficult to do.  RPGs are more story-driven than other genres, so with an established continuity, you would have to take canon into account.  You would have to factor in where in the series the game takes place, as well as changes to the status quo.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it definitely isn't easy.

I would see if it is an actual good game, then if it got good reviews, buy it.

No matter the console, all that matters is the quality. I'd do extensive research into the game and it's creation, see what people think of it, perhaps watch part of an LP-

Oh, who the hell am I kidding, I'd have two copies of the game before I even played it.

It would have to be a game where you can use all the characters, so I think an RPG or a platformer where you have to switch between the Mane 6 and perhaps Spike and use their different abilities to progress(ala Metroidvania), it could even have optional multiplayer. The RPG could be somewhat similar except be styled like a jRPG with quests and stuff. Those are my ideas anyway.

That would be cool without a doubt.

But sadly, I think it would be best suited for the 3DS, as most cartoon games usually do well in a handheld.

Better yet, give the licenses to Wayforward, everthing the touch turns to PURE GOLD!!

I could see a midnight release happening. With a ton of bronies in front of their Gamestops jumping and shouting "Fun! Fun! Fun!" Somebody (probably a guy with shutter glasses despite it being dark who is also immensely popular for no reason) will park their car directly in front of the store with dubstep blaring as loud as possible. A small group of guys will then gyrate in the most awkward fashions imaginable.

As for the game itself, a western RPG with maybe some platformer elements would be what I'd like to see. Preferably 2D. Ponies don't typically make a graceful transition to the third dimension. Even something like the Android and iOS Gameloft games would be nice, minus its pay-to-win elements and with a little more attention to detail and the ability to explore Ponyville freely. A regular old platformer is most likely should a PC or console game get made, I would think, which also wouldn't be unwelcome to me.

That would be frickin' awesome!  They could make Equestria and all the places in it!  We could explore, and do things like the Mane Six, or maybe even our own adventure!  That would be so fun, but hopefully there would be something for a computer game.  I have a PS3 but it's in the living room where anyone can see my playing, and I haven't told my parents I'm a brony yet, but I can easily do a game like that on my computer!

Hell yeah I would, but I would probably buy it off the Playstation Store.

I'm currently making a ROM hack of earthbound but it''s not going well so I think I will just give up. It basically looks like your typical Fan fic.
