What do you think of Tumblr?

tumblr is fun for some people, me included. I usually spend time looking at funny posts n stuff lol xD Some people hate tumblr for various reasons, though I'm not too sure on what they are...

 

Well I do know that its full of crazy fangirls/boys, great artists and a ton of ask blogs.

I can see why a lot of people like it, but personally, I find it to be not incredibly useful. It seems to be a place for image dumps, mostly, and there are tons of much better sites if you're looking for pictures IMO.

I enjoy tumblr. It has plenty of content to keep me interested.  But there are some... less desirable people on there. The racism and sexism bothers me a lot, but it's avoidable.

 

I like the variety of communities to participate in and the variety of subjects people blog about. The website itself could stand a few improvements, but it's still a pretty fun social networking site.

Tumblr is awesome. It's so much better the Facebook and is such a better social experience than places like blogspot can offer through reblogging, asks, and tags. The key to getting more readers is having a blog that has a theme that's of interest to people, reblogging over liking, original posts, and tagging everything. It's a very VISUAL site and lots of humor so you have to keep that in mind.

 

Yeah the angry debates are well worth skipping as a lot of people rant on the stupidest things and make dumb ass statements.

 

If you're gonna surf for p0rn have a second id. That way you can like stuff w/o crossing over with your SFW blogs or account and can follow totally different blogs.

I love Tumblr, especially because all the fan musicians I follow use it primarily. I'm personally fine with all the social justice drama, and I think it's nice that there's a place out there where it's happening. Change doesn't happen without people talking about change! Only thing I think Tumblr is bad in is formatting posts. I tried to Tumblr RP once, literally the worst thing ever. It took me thirty minutes to format a few lines correctly.
