Anyone here watch European Football?

Does anyone here watch European football at all? If you guys do, this is the place to chat all about the European clubs you want to see succeed! From Arsenal to West Ham, from FC Barcelona to Real Zaragoza, and from Bayern Munich to Dortmund, all things European football are here!

Personally, I'm a huge Gunner. I first loved them when I played FIFA Soccer 2003 (yes I had the NTSC version) and saw the Arsenal FC logo. I just loved them ever since. I watched the game winner from Olivier Giroud today against Tottenham and know about their embarrassing defeat at the start of the season against Aston Villa. I also know about Arsenal's tough draw with Marseille, Dortmund, and Napoli in the UEFA Champions League. They've certainly got it tough.

So how about you? Do you watch European football with a fervour? If so, who do you root for?

I just started to grow on my love for football actually. When I was younger, I didn't really know too much about the players and the like, but I've been able to follow it pretty fervently today. Manchester United isn't doing too bad right now actually, but our Gunners are doing better at the moment :P.

Even though Football(European) is the most popular sport in the world, I don't tend to enjoy it. I'm up for Football(American) though.

eh that can be alright but i enjoy a game of skill ( no offense)  better plus Rugby better than american football and football ( proper football ) is better still

i watch football about as much as i watch the cricket

FUCK ALL ( mainly cos the Australian cricket team is playing like shit )

sorry to say but it hardly get televised over here anymore except for the UEFA Champions League  and major matches like Manchester united Vs Manchester city  and Liverpool Vs Newcastle

Oh yes! In fact I'm on my way to the football right now. I'm a Brighton fan by the way, proud season ticket holder for over 4 years now, its awesome!

Good luck to the seagulls! They've just started the match against Bolton! While I wait until I watch an internet stream of Arsenal vs Stoke tomorrow!

Meh, I don't watch it too much but I do like to pay attention to whats going on. I will sit down and watch maybe 5-6 Stoke City games per season (Wooot! Stoke City!!!)

Uh oh... My favourite team's facing your favourite team tomorrow... May the best team win. I have to wake up early for that because the match starts at 8:30 am EST. I just hope our Gunners' win streak keeps going.

Ra Hurr bro. I recently started to watch Atletico Madrid as a favorite team. I watched them about two seasons ago and became really nterested after Falcao left and David Villa came in. I started watching football after the 2010 World Cup(unfortunately). My favorite players are David Villa and Thibault Courtois. I don't have a favorite BPL team but the BPL is really fun to watch(most competitive league in the world).

You will be very happy to know that they beat up Zenit a few days back in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage. Russian teams are never easy to beat.

My interest in soccer didn't reach full intensity until after 2010 FIFA World Cup either. I loved soccer even before that, but I never could be conscious enough to keep track of all the leagues until I had full access to the internet on my own.

Thats awesome news, I can't exactly follow football too much because of my busy school days. Also, Arsenal signing Ozil. Signing of the year? I think so, Neymar and Bale are nothing compared to Ozil becoming a Gunner.

That's too bad. I'm thankful that I can still follow football despite all my work haha. And yes, I was getting concerned that Arsenal weren't making any signings as of late. When that last day came, I felt so pessimistic, even as a huge admirer of Wenger. When he signed Ozil, I became one of the happiest people ever. Even if they might have to add one more striker, adding Ozil was a huge statement of intent for me. That's why I loved the transfer.

I don't really like it that much although it kind of puts me at a social disadvantage at school since if you don't know about football or play Football at lunch, there's not much for people to talk about or do which makes it more than a bit annoying to hang out with most people in my year.

Despite this, I'm a Charlton Athletic fan. Always have been always will. It's a shame they aren't doing so well in the Championship league. Still, it's better than them being in League 1. If I were to choose a team in the Premier League, it would probably be Tottenham Hotspurs, mainly because my brother would do the same and he knows A LOT about football.

Well I am a Chelsea and Manchester United fan, even though I can't watch their games in America. But they are my favorite European teams.

I have the same problem as you, but you know how I solved it? I actually found this internet streaming site for football matches. It works perfectly too! Just be aware of any ads that may arise.

May the best team win on the Manchester derby tomorrow by the way.

Gunner here, though not as intense a fan as some people. They're one of the closest teams to me, they play well (when Wenger gets his act together!) and they have some of the least inter-player drama I've seen. Solid club.

Looking forward to vs Stoke! wink.png

I'm surprised there aren't more Liverpool fans, yet there are more Man U? Meh, I don't watch too much footie but I've been to a few Liverpool games, so I guess I'm a Liverpool fan. :P

Too bad about Liverpool's loss to Southampton today then. I watched it and I saw the goal from the corner. Oh well. Perfect chance for Arsenal to grab 1st place tomorrow img-387689-1-5e7kmu.png

Just left the ground, final score Brighton 3-1 Bolton. After trailing in the first half through a first half own goal by David Lopez.

Second half in the space of 5 minutes we scored 3 goals, the first being an own goal again and the other 2 from Calderon and Buckley. Great result and pushes us up the table a little now.. Very happy!

Yeah, yeah yeah, rub it in you arse.

Yeah, it was a bit annoying. I hope, for your sake, that Arsenal don't lose, 'cause I'll rub it in. With salt. wink.png

"Oh Paul. What in Equestria are you talking about this time? Football? Blech."

"Oh Erly! If he likes football, that's fine. You're just probably jealous that he's more athletic than you... aren't you?"

"Chemmy! Of course not! He's not even that athletic either, even if he plays squash."

"Guys what the heck are you doing here? Get off!"

-------------------------

Sorry. That was my OCs. They like to be naughty by interfering with the laptop. But yeah. I can imagine you rubbing it in with salt. Even if we do lose, at least we're still stuck in 2nd. That's definitely better than moving down a few spots.

I was extremely enthusiastic about football when I was younger, but I eventually lost interest. The sport still has a lot of nostalgic value for me

My favorite has always been and always will be Juventus. I actually saw them playing against Milan a couple years ago with my brother. My interest in football was pretty much lost back then, but it was a great experience

WAT. No, that's impossible! You can't support Chelsea AND Man U!  Chelsea is one Man U's rivals xD You support both, but how? pffft xD

This used to be a big topic for discussion among me and my friends once :P The unwritten rule of football is that you have to support one single team, sure, but some people just want to watch it unfold without total devotion to a single team and competitive aspect of things n.n One of those people is my brother, he supports Arsenal like me but he doesn't mind certain other teams winning.
