gaming Kingdom Hearts or Zelda?

Zelda, no compare. Variety in the multiverse.

Personally, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was sort of fun, but the story was confusing and required having played them all chronologically. Zelda is nothing like that, and I love it for not being a dang serial soap opera. It knows what it is- an adventure game- and it brings the adventure so well that I can't help but appreciate every title. Can't wait for A Link Between Worlds.

My favorite series vs. a series I dont find fun. Master Sword vs. some kinda Key Blade thingy.
Ganondorf vs. Ursula. Minda vs. Mickey. Fi vs. Goofy. Hummm.
Freaking Legend of Zelda all of the way. I have always loved the series. The gameplay mechanics are amazing. The different items are so cool. Hookshot, Spinny Top Thingy, Skull Hammer, Light Arrows, Bomb Arrows, you name it Link has it. Being only fourteen I'm not saying this out of nastalga. I got into the series when I was eight and instantly loved it. (although i do like how in Kingdom Hearts you can jump off walls and stuff. HARDCORE PARKOUR!) My favorite title is Skyward Sword from The Legend of Zelda.

Zelda easily. I would like to choke pretty much ANY character in Kingdom hearts with their own trachea. Some of the organisation 13 (or whatever its called) antagonists are quite likeable but the protagonists are quite irritating, The gameplay is more solid I find the characters far more likeable they both hit an equal on soundtrack and I think just using disney characters to flesh out your world is the laziest thing but different strokes different folks. Enjoy kingdom hearts whoever likes it better

Legend Of Zelda has to be a classic in my book (my favorite being A Link To The Past)

However Kingdom Hearts is one of these game I been really wanting to play for a while already, but I can't because I didn't have a PS2 (I only had a Game Cube at the time)

So I have to say Zelda at the moment.

I have always loved Zelda games more. First of all, Link may be silent, but I find him to be the better protagonist. He doesn't look ridiculous either. Second, he uses a wide variety of items he finds to his advantage. Link is resourceful like that. Third, the Zelda games have one of my favorite villains of all time, Ganondorf. The King of Evil and bearer of the Triforce of Power. Finally fourth, I find the gameplay, settings, and music to be better. But that's just my opinion. :)

Even though I'm mostly a Nintendo fan and that Zelda had a bigger impact on gaming, my vote goes to the Kingdom Hearts series. Even though the gameplay and controls feel stiff at times, and may have confusing stories, I enjoy it because the challenges are less frustrating for me compared to Zelda, The inclusion of Disney characters hooks me, has some nice messages, and the series has I higher ratio of games I enjoy playing. So I have an easier time getting into the Kingdom Hearts series than Zelda. There's like at least half of the Zelda series that I can't get into. And I'm thinking of getting a PS4 just for Kingdom Hearts III.

Even though I think this is a pretty difficult comparison given the game's different styles of gameplay, I personally have to go with Zelda, despite my lack of playtime with Kingdom Hearts. Zelda games to me have always been wonderful adventures that get straight to the point, which makes them surprisingly easy to get into. Kingdom Hearts has always been kinda daunting to me, especially now. I definitely will be playing 3 though, even if I am totally lost on the story. :P

Kingdom Hearts. I've never been a big fan of Legend of Zelda, especially since all the games have basically been "Ocarina of Time: Part X" and Ocarina of Time was itself an upgrade of the only LoZ I've enjoyed, Link to the Past. Kingdom Hearts has much more variety to it's combat and a much deeper story.

I'm not saying that Kingdom Hearts doesn't get confusing at time, but LoZ just feels like very basic fantasy to me.

Rats, I played quite far through both KH1 and 2 (as well as Chain of Memories and 358 days/2), and a few of the Zelda games... I don't know. I like the overall lore and variety found in the Zelda games more, plus I think the story tends to be simpler.

Square is going HARD in terms of convoluting and overstuffing the story of Kingdom Hearts, in my opinion, especially if you don't follow game-by-game.

Zelda in a heartbeat. Kingdom Hearts is literally the worst game I have ever played. This is coming from someone who likes ET. And Sonic 06.

This gave me a good giggle.

While my opinions on Kingdom Hearts aren't as strong as that, I had a hard time stomaching Sora and his constant going on about his friends.

"My friends! And my friends! I can do anything with help from my friends! My friends! I need to find my friends Riku and Kairi!" You get the picture.

Also Kingdom Hearts got really out there with the plot, between all of the Organization 13 retconning, and it getting super cheeseball touchy feely towards the end. Also, the card based game was terrible.

I grew up with LoZ, and I remember playing the original two NES games as a tot. There is usually a fairly compelling plot (excluding Spirit Tracks), and the gameplay over the years has stayed fresh through the decades.

I don't see a huge comparison between the two, to be honest, but LoZ 4 lyfe.

Hi. I think Legend of Zelda was my favorite game series growing up, and still is, Kingdom Hearts is fine, but I haven't played it a whole lot so I really can't judge on the game play.

(edited)

I'm the unpopular opinion of Kingdom Hearts over Zedla. No offense to Zedla fans, but I find the games pretty confusing and such and I'm not really invested in it's story as I am with Kingdom Hearts.

I don't know, there's nothing postivite or anything I like about any of the Zedla games. Also, I avoided Zedla like a plague when I was younger because almost all the Zedla fans in my school would bully me just because I never even heard of it when I first found out about the games. In any of my schools if I said I enever played Zedla, it's always a rapid fan that lashes out on me. Due to that I avoided most of the fanbase when I was a 11 year old girl at all costs.

I'm not assuming all Zedla fans are like this, it could just be bad luck for me and I just tend to stumble upon rapid fans, but that's how it's like for me.
It also didn't help that I was terrified of BEN Drowned and other Creepypasta when I was 11 years old. (I love Creepypasta now XD) which made me avoid it even more like a war or something.
Again, no offense to Zedla fans, but I don't find Zedla that interesting.

The only Zedla game I'm really interested in playing is Majoria's Mask (thank Benny.)

Maybe I'm just blinded by Nostaglia over Kingdom Hearys because I grew up with it instead of the Zedla series like most people.
(I rarely get blinded by Nostaglia to add.)

But I just find Kingdom Hearts to be a more interesting and engaging story than Zedla. I even prefer KH over Final Fantasy.

Also, and don't kill me Zedla fans for saying this BUT:

........

...I think Zedla is THE most overrated game series to ever exist in any video game existence and almost more popular than both Mario and Sonic combined.

...There. I said it. You may begin to flame me now.

No offense to Zedla fans and I respect any fan's opinions. I'm friends with plenty of Zedla fans actually and I'm kinda interested in it thanks to Game Theory but other than that, eh.

God, why do I always have the unpopular opinion?! WHY?! WHY?!

Kingdom Hearts is probably the game that made me sick of the Guy-Who-Cares-For-His-Friends-A-Lot protagonist. I groaned when it showed up in F:EQ; but because Kkat is god*, this was fixed to be more subtle and believable.

Between the two, Kingdom Hearts by a long shot...

My Reasoning: Why wouldnt I, Kingdom Hearts was the first videogame I ever got my hands on and beat completely

I have played and beat all the KH series at least 3 times

The only Zelda I really enjoyed was Majoras Mask

I would likely say Zelda, just because the story is understandable and the challenges are more than combat-oriented--that's just what I prefer in my games.

They're very different games at the end of the day though.

Well... if I may say so. Legend of Zelda is the way to go. It's a much better game when it comes to combat and story in general. You don't have to feel as lost in what to do with LOZ.

That's truly a hard choice for me... I really don't know what to say here because I have so many pros for each series. I want to say both are equally great to me but Zelda I love how adventurous and all the puzzles they put into those games. I may have to go with the LOZ series on this one and that is hard for me to say because I love Kingdom Hearts just as much honestly.
