How long after beginning to watch MLP did you start to create something?

I actually started sketching and making art of the ponies around 3-4 months ago, when I recently returned to the forum site and to the fandom as a whole.

 

It felt nice, like doing something with the ponies besides just watching the episodes and fan-screaming whenever I saw my favorite pony do something amazing, like exist! x)

 

Whenever I sketch I feel like I'm bringing the ponies to life. xD It's a wonderful feeling, especially after finishing the work.

4 ¹/₂ months after watching I made my own desktop image, 5 months for my first fanfic (which I still haven't put out into the world of the internet), 5 ¹/₂ months for my first drawing. I had plenty of ideas in between, but I lacked the artistic talent and practice to enact any of my ideas. The fact that my abilities are severely under-developed is the main thing that has stopped me from doing more, but I have a few doodles that I keep to myself.

I'm not really an artist but I did try, I think it was...last summer, to draw a pony. I did a really good Twilight and a barely okay Applejack.

A few days after my Uncle got me into the show, I made doodles of My Little Lawyer: Objecting is Magic.

... Those don't count for anything. Those are a shameful creation of mine and don't deserve to exist. I still wonder why I haven't thrown them out yet...

 

... My first "real" work was about a month after I started watching the show. Upon seeing a fanwork known as Turnabout Storm, I was inspired to write my own sequel/spin-off of the idea. Became my most favorite idea out of all of the ideas I had had at the time (though that isn't saying much), but I couldn't work out all of the details and I eventually scrapped it... somewhat. I may go back to it someday.

 

... Well, anyway, there ya go. About a month, not counting my crappy... monstrosities of my earlier days in the fandom. <<;

Would say I did almost immediately as I always did sketch now I just began to sketch ponies. Therefore I got to making something almost right after watching the show hehe.

Not long. I can't remember, but I am creative so I probably drew something quite quickly. I have been drawing ponies since before FIM so, yea.

I haven't really created anything pony-related, unless a couple of poor attempts at drawings count (I didn't even bother to save most of them). I've thought about making music for a while, but at the moment, I doubt I'd create MLP-related songs. Maybe if I had a very good idea for one...
