How close are you to leaving the fandom?

No, I love the fandom.  I haven't seen very much worry and drama for coming seasons and such.  I don't know why I would leave something I love being a part of, just because of a few people that complain.

I'm close and far from leaving the fandom.

It's a strange situation, but basically, I have been looking for a way out since episode one.

But then I decided that after ep. 2 and I'd be out.

Nope.

After season 1? nope.

After season 3?

Nope.

Ok, equestria girls. This movies looks super girly. If anything is going to get me out of the fandom it will be thi-Oh son of a bi-!

and the longer time passed, the deeper into the fandom I went.

Still waiting for that moment where I can say "This sucks! Im outta here!".

Season 4. Will it beat me? Or can I get at least one win.  :okiedokielokie:

Nope, not leaving anytime soon.  Do you have any idea how much I spent on those comics? (answer: not that much)  If I just up and left, that would be wasted money.  WASTED MONEY.  I can't have any of that.

But seriously, I do still find enjoyment in what the show and the fandom produces (even Equestria Girls). I have yet to be given a legitimate reason to leave.

So anyways, sorry all, but you're going to have to deal with me for a little while longer.

Nowhere near as of now, but I was real close, as I was pissed at ya'll back in the March-Juneish era.

But no. I'm not going to be leaving anytime soon. You guys are some of the coolest, funniest, most talented people I've ever met. Tip of the hat to ya'll.

Depends on what "leaving the fandom" truly encompasses. Talking about the show itself, I'll continue to love the show unless the coming seasons show signs of horrible, irredeemable hack writing. Of course, I'm fairly optimistic that this won't happen.

In terms of interacting with the community, however, I'll stick around for as long as I'm not completely irritated by what's going on around me. Which is to say, irritated by doomsayers, elitists, and every other type of prick that plagues every fandom. There're plenty of these people within the brony fandom, but not quite enough to get me to want to stop being a part of the community...

...Yet. Hopefully all the negative crap I've been exposed to since joining the fandom is representative of the absolute lowest point it's sunk to, because if it can get any worse, then I'll probably dissociate myself from the community for a time and focus my attentions solely on the show. I'd be back at some point, but you can't really blame a guy - after all, one can only take so much fandom bitching.

You know, if people keep asking me 'when are you leaving?' every time I look around,  I'm going to start thinking you don't want me around anymore.... :(

This fandom had it's fair share of dark moments and stupidity, that still goes on every once in a while unfortunately...

However, I'm still a big fan, but I never like being labeled a brony to be honest, I prefer big fan.

Other than that, I'm still supporting the show, glad season 4 is coming up, and glad to be here on the forums with great friends and people!  ;)

I'm the opposite of most bronies. I think season three was largely mediocre and received a desperately needed boost in quality from Magical Mystery Cure. As for Equestria Girls, I, like most others, dreaded it at first but when I actually sat down to watch the thing I had a fantastic time. So the two big controversial decisions they made I'm in support of, but the rest of the season, which received largely positive response, I didn't care for. I'm still here, but if season four continues the mediocrity of season three I'm not sure how much longer my fandom will last.

There is only one time I have ever left a fandom; the horror-films fandom. The people are mainly selfish pessimists getting into one argument after another. Thank god Bronies at their worse don't come close to that, so I expect a good long stay in the fandom from myself.

Nope not even slightly close, but then I avoid all the drama etc. at the end of the day there is so much to this fandom that leaving it seems... Well silly.

Well, I suppose technically the fandom is with me in a sense for life:

But that aside, I see no signs of myself leaving anytime soon; I'm always discovering new music, art and fiction. Not to mention the fact that the show is still putting out content itself.

'Leaving the fandom' has become, in my opinion, a retarded bandwagon concept that's been adopted by our fandom more than any other (many others don't have it at all). Do you see Adventure Time fans constantly talking about how, when and if they'll leave the fandom? No. Star Trek Fans? No. Most fandoms enjoy themselves, because they know that fandoms never truly die. Even when the show, video game series, book series; whatever it may be ends, the fandom will live on because fans are fans. Ergo, why does anyone 'need' to leave the fandom, 'ever'? Drama, arguing, disagreement, strife, ups and downs, etc are in every fandom, and that's a part of life.

You can become less active in a fandom when new fandoms pop up and garnish interest, hell, I was into just Sonic the Hedgehog for years. But now that fandom for me has taken a casual side-burner to ponies, and recently, One Piece as far as animes go. Does that mean I'm not a Sonic fan anymore? Fuck no.

If you're a true fan, you'll never need to 'leave' the fandom. So why discuss it amongst ourselves constantly so much? Enjoy the damn show and the damn fanbase :P

In a sense you could say I've already left. I'm kind of an isolationist when it comes to fandoms. I do my own things and more often than not people aren't ever into the things I am so I don't bother trying.

These days I don't do anything MLP-related except stalk ZephyrStar for Ponies Anthology 3. Being semi-active on these forums is the only thing linking me to MLP anymore really.

Not once in my days ever since joining this fandom have I ever came close to considering about leaving. And if I do leave, it would more likely be caused by some of the fans rather than the show itself.

The fanbase have made a lot of good quality content based on this very enjoyable show. I don't really have a real reason why to leave at all, and I'll most likely never have one in the near future. Certainly, some of the fans are rather annoying and extremely opinionated  when it comes to drama and changes, but I've been in enough fandom to become accustomed to it.

I think it is going to be a while before I leave, sure I wasn't exactly a fan of twilicorn or how it was introduced but with Equestria Girls being better than expected perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised again. The wait for season 4 has been the most painful wait for a season premier I have gone through in quite some time. With that said though the doom and gloom can annoy even me alot of times, it seems like every time someone does something stupid people panic over how "the fandom is dying" or some other nonsense like that.

Let's just say, I'm so far away from leaving the fandom that even a telescope x9001 more powerful than our current most powerful telescope won't be able to see me. In other words, not even freakin' close. I love being a part of this fandom, and nothing will ever change that. :squee:

As annoying as the fandom can get sometimes, it also has produced a vast amount of amazing fanfics, parody videos, art, ect. I'm also still fairly new to the fandom. I've only really been a brony for like half a year now, so there's no way I'm leaving anytime soon. :D

I'm not even close to leaving. I really like it here. I love all of the fanfics, music, art and new animations that come out. Not to mention all of the friendly people I've met and new friends I have made. I'm also really hyped for season 4! :D

Leaving the fandom? Are you crazy? (No offence!)

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has given so to me, that even IF the series, and fandom would wither and die, the idea of kindness and friendship would still continue to inspire me, to drive me to be a better person!

So nope, after I had found the happines from all these wonderful people in our fandom, I can safely say, that I will always be a part of it! ^^

Well I have to say that I have been way more involved with this fandom than I ever have been with any other. On that note, I don't think I'll ever leave it, sure there are some things that annoy me a bit about the brony fandom, not to mention the slight social stigma, but I don't really care about that as long as I know there are good bronies like most of the people here. Plus there's still show to watch, things to read, merch to buy, people to meet... so yeah, I'm here to stay. :yay:
