I'm sorry. But I gotta say this. I'm not really a fan of death scenes or movies in general. But when it's this bad. I just got to love it.

Oh, and if someone can tell me how to get the clip to show up and not just the link, I would be happy to know. :P

Any over-the-top gory death scene is great in my book.

So Tim Messenger's death from Hot Fuzz is one.

Although, Saruman's death in Return of the King is a pretty awesome way to go out.

Have a nice cold pint, and wait for all this to blow over..

This:

Back in the SNES days, any kind of death scene this... uh, 'detailed' was kind of a new thing as far as Nintendo games went. I was honestly creeped out the first time I saw it.

To skip straight to the death scene, it's at 0:36 in the video.

Poor Crocomire.

Before clicking onto this topic, I was intending on bringing up Tim Messenger's death from Hot Fuzz, but Broseph beat me to the punch. That scene's easily my second favorite movie death of all time.

My top favorite has gotta be the famous "riding the bomb" scene from Dr. Strangelove:

Pierrot le Fou contains the funniest suicide ever put on celluloid, though the Dr. Strangelove clip posted above does offer some stiff competition. Unfortunately I could not find a clip that features the lead-up to the death or the cut to end credits, but I guess this one will do...

Games well honourable mention goes to Vaas' a well constructed scene and fun way to look into Jason's forced drug trip and I always wondered considering how often these trips compare Jason and Vaas is it also delving into Vaas' psyche. The scene where Vaas' charges you over and over with a knife to which Jason responds "Why won't you die?" could this be how Vaas saw Jason as well despite the Macho façade. Everytime he tries to kill Jason he just gets back up again to hunt the mother bucker down :P but that's a discussion for another thread.

For those of you offended by such fairly strong language in here

Two of my favourite movie deaths just for sheer humour would have to be Big trouble in little china town I mean this guy literally inflates till explosion because that's what people do right?

And silent night deadly night's HILARIOUSLY awful "Garbage day" scene. First time I saw this I nearly wet myself laughing

I almost forgot. The death of Arcturus Mengsk. Growing up with Starcraft 1 and waited a good 12-13 years to see this son of a bitch get what he had coming. after how many playthroughs of "wow Mengsk is an DOUCHE" this scene was so satisfying even if the ending after it is a little cliche and flaccid.

4. Stavros ("Double Team"):

Nostalgia Critic: "Oh my God; we have Mickey Rourke on a mine, in the middle of a minefield, with a ferocious tiger, in a coliseum, with Jean Claude Van Damme, Dennis Rodman, Belloq, and a baby in a basket! If this does not deliver the most ****ing epic imagery I have ever seen in my entire life, I have lost all hope in mankind! Let’s see what happens."

@Eureka: There's one sound byte that always comes to mind when she blasts Belatrix away.

There's one scene from of all things, a Disney sequel, that really got me.

Lilo & Stich 2: Stich has a Glitch

Okay sure, he lives in the end, but you have to admit this is really tough to watch without shedding a tear. I've never seen the death of a main character handled so well, especially for a straight-to-video feature.

When I first saw this scene from RotJ, I was really shocked and amazed at Vader's turn and his subsequent end, and it really helped me determine much of what I believe in generally as to how even the most cruel people in life can be redeemed if shown a bit of goodness. But putting that aside, it's also the fact Vader gets to see his son not as an enemy, but someone he can truly be proud of, and Sebastian Shaw (the only true Anakin Skywalker imo) really did great in conveying that emotion along with regret at not having been there for Luke.

Well, he dosen't exactly DIE, but...I'll have you know that I watched this certain, part one certain day, and I only cried for a year:

"I don't want to go."

I'm not really one to pick out which death scenes are the most creative, dramatic, or "out there" for lack of a better term.

But you have to admit, some of the Disney villain deaths are pretty gruesome, even if most of them died by losing balance off of a high building and falling for a great distance. However, Judge Claude Frollo's death in Hunchback of Notre Dame is probably the most dramatic case of this, not including the religious symbolism at the end.

"And He shall smite the wicked.."

For most tear inducing, I would go with Lee's death in The walking dead game, Man, who didnt tear up at that scene? whatta ending :(

In the VGA remake of Space Quest I, you start out on a ship that's about to blow up, but as soon as you reach the escape pod, turn on the power, and the second you touch the throttle, the game "kills" you for not buckling up.

I personally found it hilarious, just because of being so bullshit.
