Well my favorite pony is fluttershy, and I suppose it wouldn't be as hard asking her since she's more shy then even me.

 

As for our date I think we'd spend it in a relaxing flower field, or playing with her critters, maybe go eat something casual or else cook it at her house.

 

Then we'd watch the sunset together on a hill.

Fluttershy would come with me to go see the world! The animals, the sun sets, the calm breezy nights. We'd take a picnic to a very safe area where many animals roam. She'd play with them and have a good time. Bam. I win her heart.

Okay bear with me, I wouldn't ask my favorite out.  I would ask someone else favorite out.  (being as How I'm a horrible person).

I would imagine someone like Digi brony trying to nervously strike up a conversation with apple jack,

and but in and ask her first ^ ~,

because I ultimately wouldn't be doing it for myself I'd have nothing to be nervous about.  I mean if she said no, it was a prank.

 

And if she said yes "Oh but wait what about my choirs."

I always picture other OC ponies floating around in these hypothetical questions, people I can manipulate.

I proudly admit and proclaim myself to be an Egghead! In all truthfulness, I don't think I can actually remember a day where I didn't spend at least an hour or two reading. I LOVE reading! My E-Book reader goes everywhere with me. I would love to hear Twilight read me stories about Equestria, and I would read her something by Terry Pratchett. I bet being a magic user, she'd get a kick out of hearing something about Unseen University.

I am talking about series canon Twilight, and not fanfic derived variations. Besides, as human beings go, I read very fast. Besides again, when reading aloud to someone, you automatically slow down to a normal speaking rhythm and cadence.

Why are you intentionally trying to make this into a fight? What about the concept of reading to someone do you not understand? When you read to someone, you are not going any faster than normal conversational speed. There is no way in heaven or hell that I could ever talk as fast as I can read! By the way. Seriously?  this is me with super nice kid gloves.  I never suggested she'd reject you, or dis like your writing.

I'm suggesting possible problems that would occur that would toss you a swerve in your plan.

 

you know, like what happens on every, single, episode of the show.

I liked your idea, I liked it so much, my idea was "How can i take that idea and spin it into a episode on the show that I think I could get people to enjoy."

 

But lets not stop there, love itself generally has the means by which to over coming pain in the ass road blocks along the way.
