So what's all your mobile tech of choice?

What's your preferences on phones/tablets?

What are your favourite apps?

What pony apps do you have?

I started out my smartphone days with a G1, the first Android phone. I never came off Android from then :D I love the Operating System and I find the customisation great. iOS is okay but I don't find it as fun and intuitive as Android is.

I got a HTC Desire after my G1 which served well until a few months ago, then I bought a Dell Streak 5, a mini tablet/phone combo which was/is quite unstable but nice to use when it was working fine. I decided I needed something more reliable so recently I got an Xperia Arc S cheap on contract. I've also bought a HP Touchpad from a friend in the past few days.

All my devices are rooted.. the Xperia Arc S is running a custom 2.3.3 ROM made to look like Android 4.0, the Dell Streak is running a ROM called the Dell Streak Club (DSC) and the HP Touchpad is running Android 4.0.3 (Cyanogenmod 9.0) alongside WebOS, (which is alright to use too).

What's everypony else's thoughts? :)

Aww D: that's pretty sucky ~ Not sure what you can get for a 3GS that WOULD ponify it though? :P

Good news: I'm saving for an iPod touch, getting the pony treatment when I get it! :D

Awesome! ^^ Good luck with your saving! :) What pony apps did you have in mind? Does iOS have the app which adds all the ponies to your background that walk around and interact?

Anyway, here's my contribution:

On the left is my good old Cappy(Samsung Captivate), running a custom Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) rom that makes it feel like a brand new phone again. It's my favourite phone I've owned, being that it replaced my iPhone 3G. On the right is my Blackberry Playbook, which I just purchased two weeks ago. It's certainly a capable device, and I have never once experienced any stuttering when browsing, but the app world is ABYSMAL. Seriously, it makes the Web OS market look like the Apple App Store. It's that bad. I didn't buy it for the apps though, so that doesn't bother me.

I can't wait to run Android 4 on my mobile ^^ It looks nice, I like your Playbook background too but personally thought the Playbook in general was pretty poor, for the main reason of the poor app store, which you seem to verify xD

There seem to be a couple of companies just jumping on the tablet bandwagon without giving much considerable thought as to what they can do to make the products unique. The HTC Flyer falls into this as well. "Yeah let's just make a HTC Phone a bit larger and charge more for it". Yeah, but what does it DO more of than a phone? hmm.

I've got an iPhone 4 and an ASUS Transformer tablet. Tablet's quite useful for reading fics in bed.

I really wanted an ASUS Transformer! o: They look awesome! <3 ~ I see they announced they're upgrading them to Android 4.0 soon too :3

The thing with the Flyer though is that it actually WAS a big phone. HTC just hid the capability. Modifying a few lines of code in the build.prop lets you make phone calls with it. So, HTC really was being lazy.

Yeah I saw those, they look awesome! I'll be saving for holidays and University though so I can't get one! D: *pouts*

Also the irony of calling a TRANSFORMER "PRIME" is not going un-noticed ASUS.

Yeah exactly :/ I thought of HTC pretty well up until then. It's like in the earlier days they made an effort to try get on top of Apple and now that they pretty much have done that they've become complacent. Xperia phones have come leaps and bounds since I last used them, they're fantastic! As are the Samsung phones nowadays, great models ^^

Just got ICS on my Transformer last night. So far I'm liking it a lot.

My personal cell phone is a Samsung Mesmerize (which is variant of the Galaxy S). I didn't root it, but I do have LauncherPro running on it as I don't like the default launcher (I think it's called TouchWiz or something like that). I'm not too fond of it though, as it's unstable, crashes very frequently, the battery life is horrible, and software updates are typically delayed for several months.

I also have a work-issued Blackberry Bold. It's an alright phone - the software is fairly stable and the battery life is very excellent, but there's nothing overly special about the phone that would make me want to buy another Blackberry either.

Really though, I'm not much of a power user when it comes to mobile devices. I use my Samsung for listening to music and occasional web surfing/email, but I don't have too many apps or games on it. Instead, I prefer to use a full sized laptop or desktop instead of a smartphone whenever possible.
