Hello, everypony! There seems to be a metal thread, as well as a hip hop thread, but not a punk thread. So I figured,why not start one?

Rise Against is godlike!

I've seen them in concert twice and they never cease to amaze me

The Burnout Revenge Soundtrack has some nice Punk/Alternative rock songs

I have to agree with you in liking their old songs better. I have all their albums and my top3 would be:

1.) Siren Song of the Counter Culture

2.) The Unraveling

3.) The Sufferer and the Witness

Altough there are some new songs(The Dirt Whispered for example) I also like but nothing that "great" as on their first albums

I really like their acoustic covers btw maybe an acoustic album would be nice

To clear that up for you

SSOTCC is on top because it has many of my all-time favorite RA songs on it(Blood to bleed, Life less frightening, Paper wings,...)

The unraveling is second because the songs are unique and "The Unraveling", "Everchanging" and "My Life Inside Your Heart" are also under my top songs

TSATW is ranked third because it has a great start "Chamber the Cartridge" with more great songs following including "Injection","prayer of the refugee" and "The Good Left Undone". Also it was my first RA album

RPM is good and it has "Torches" which I absolutely adore but for me it's close behind TSATW

Everyone really has their own idea of it. I'm not very knowledgeable of it either, insofar as the punk scene now. I know the early history of hardcore and that's about as far as it goes, but I do know a LOT of bands, as you guys have seen from the other music threads.

Meh, like I said, punk and all of it's subgenres. So that can mean pretty much anything that could stylisticly(think I just made up that word) be considered punk. I'd say the thread is staying on topic, as Find A F*CKING Pet is nearly hardcore punk.
