If anything else if Youtube faces its demise there will always be other video sources to look towards... there might even be enough want to make another type of site like youtube if it becomes to much garbage. Honestly though youtube has been losing its good days for a long time now.

The biggest changes coming are content ID/copyright stuff. The only channels heavily affected by that are gaming channels. There are still plenty of other big channels that'll be fine.  But who cares about Youtube anyway? People who make a living creating their content could well find themselves unable to continue doing so, and that's the awful part.

 

I keep suggesting Kickstarting a new site for everyone to move over to, on account of blip and other current options are all pretty crummy design-wise. Just build a site equal or better to Youtube, without all the bullshit.

It's really nothing suprising. Google has some weird fetish for forced "innovations" that most times are hard for me to get used to, they change layout pretty often (HOW can I access PMs on YouTube? I have 3 unanswered tab requests and I can't even give my tabs to people because I can't find mailbox ><). I was saying it since few years. YouTube will collapse because of how google treats it. I still remember times when there was "5 stars" rating system, channels where easy to navigate... *sheds a tear*. But I'm sure someone will use the fact that YouTube is getting worse and "steal" its users. And then I hope google will learn the lesson then.
