Group M:

Applebloom will QUALIFY if she WINS against Night Light.

Night Light and Berry Punch will be ELIMINATED if they FAIL TO WIN.

 

Group N:

Vinyl Scratch will QUALIFY if she WINS against Pina Colada

Spike vs Thunderlane could be the DECIDING MATCH for Group N's potentially last qualifying position. Choose wisely.

Fleur Dis Lee and Crystal Arrow will be ELIMINATED if they fail to win.

The only other match I wanted to comment on was the griffin vs griffin action.    Gilda's a pretty good antagonist so it's not a big surprise that she has the lead over Gustave.

Princess Cadence and Queen Chrysalis are just one win away from booking their ticket to the 2014 MLPF World Cup. All they need is JUST A WIN against Silver Spoon and Noi respectively...

But the key match lies not in the group leaders, but rather with the Group Runnerup... The knight who so loved Princess Cadence is facing a tough foe in Rainbow Dash's episodic nemesis. Can Shining Armor put a dagger on his opponent's chances of qualification, or will Lightning Dust blow him away with her dazzling speed?

 

Last day of Matchday 6... almost half of the qualifiers have been determined... Tomorrow night... we will begin to see the other half who will book their places in the World Cup dance...

If Lightning Dust loses to the Bland Brother Best Friend Forever I'm gonna...do something I guess . Most likely be unhappy for a short amount of time and be all passive aggressiveish.

 

But seriously now, as a sort of darker copy of one of the main characters I feel like Dusty's got loads of untapped potential that may or may not get used, and Shining seems destined to show up again and again and make no impression on me at all.

As a BBBFF myself (heck, that song is on a sentimental level my favorite from those two episodes, even if "This Day Aria" is far more impressive musically), I had to vote for Shining Armor.  Not to mention that I actually do like his character; sure he's consistent and doesn't change that much, but whatever, he's a nice guy and a good BBBFF and husband.  Stand-up guy as far as I'm concerned, plus he's voiced by Andrew Francis, who's absolutely hilarious at conventions from the videos of panels he's attended that I've seen.  Vote Shining ya'll!!!

As for me, I'm going with Dusty. I have to agree with DashForever that Shining Armor is just a rather bland character and Lightning seems to have a lot more potential. Not like it matters since Shining will win this.

Choosing between Lightning Dust and Shining Armor was a very hard decision.

 

I am a big Shining Armor guy (and a big Cadence guy). I don't even care if they weren't introduced until the end of the second season. xP

 

I ended up voting for Dustie because she's more epic. Is that a good reason?
