Winter Wrap Up was the first episode I saw when it premiered and I am so happy to this day that my little sister asked me to watch it with her back then.  It stills feels like one of the better, earlier episodes to introduce someone who is new to the show, in my opinion.

I started watching the show regularly with the pilot episodes, but the first episode I've ever caught was "Stare Master." I was strolling through channels and I watched the last 10 minutes of it. Didn't have any interest in the show at the time, though.

Same here, though it took me a while to become a Brony. That was achieved by YouTube content and readings on the show, with a little boredom added in as well, and a lot of free time.

Mine was "Magical Mystery Cure"...I didn't know it was the S3 finale and it'd have such a major spoiler! xD So when I went back and watched the full 3 series I knew the whole time how it ended. It didn't bother me much, but I guess it's a good thing that I managed to avoid the possibility if having a negative attitude to this surprise as I've seen many bronies be put off by it. Plus there were a crud load of great songs in that episode which made me love it as I have a soft spot for music.

It was a repeat of "Winter Wrap Up", not long before the S3 premiere. Good episode to start with, right? Except I'm not much for big production numbers so I only thought it was "OK".

 

It took a few weeks of additional episodes plus that earworm of a song to completely take over my brain. Now I love "Winter Wrap up" and am prone to randomly break into song with it and much of the other music from the show.

I honestly am not sure. I just know my little sister used to watch it all the time and had it on Netflix (still does XD), and started to get interested in what she was watching... so I honestly have no clue what my first was. But I'm guessing it was prooobably the first episode ever, or it may have been one that had Rainbow Dash in it like Sonic Rainboom (that's what its called, right?) Oh, and I am pretty sure this was around 2012 or something, but it wasn't until about a month ago I accepted myself as a Pegasister. XD

Mine was "applebuck season", long before I even started to like MLP, a youtuber i followed almost religiously has posted it, and i figured he was doing it a joke, and back then i was really into harvest moon, so when applejack was talkin about how she can do things all on her own i was sorta nodding my head agreeing with her (being in a farmer mode of sorts) didn't finish the episode, but Its a good memory

OP, you definitely started off with a bang.  Sonic Rainboom is one of favorites.  First one I saw was the Discord wants a glass of water one (forget the name.)  Second was Filli Vanilli, still my all time favorite.  After than I bought all seasons and started watching from the beginning.
