I just found this quite impressive game through another forum I regularly check on. The objective is to think of ANY character (Game, movie, book, real life, etc.), and you answer 20 questions about that character.

 

After the 20 questions, it'll display the character you're thinking of. I am truly amazed by how accurate this is, and I suggest all of you to try it out! Post some of the characters it guessed!

So far, it guessed the following characters for me:

Bolt

 

Here's a little challenge: Find a character that takes Akinator longer than 20 questions, and post the character, and the number of questions it took him to guess the correct one!

 

I believe the highest number of questions from me was about 40 from Kei Nagase, from the game Ace Combat 5.

25 for Darkwing Duck. His first guess was Donald Duck. Close, but not close enough!

The tip is, just use the most unknown characters, like squeaky clean or that window cleaner pony from canterlot

Argh! I hate it when he's right! I've managed to trick it with a few obscure doctors and scientists but for the most part, it's pretty accurate.

 

EDIT: It even figured out Star Swirl the Bearded despite only being done 74 times!

lol, i think its amazing how he is ALWAYS right, ive yet to get him wrong, hes proved many video game characters, old tv show characters, and even himself and cleverbot

Akinator is amazing. I used to always play it in business class back in high school. I was constantly developing ways to trick it. At the time, I got it with Little Miss Rarity, among many other things.

God, I've played this quite a lot in school when I get bored. It is rather mind blowing once you start thinking of obscure characters and Akinator gets it right, such a book characters or hockey players. It is a fun little toy to mess around with, and especially see all the possibilities.

Akinator is ANCIENT. This website has been around for more than ten years, OP. Anyways, he guessed right.

This one took him into the second round(I lost track of how many questions) And has been used 1670 times.

 

 

 

This one took 46, and has been used 156 times

 

 

I manged to stump him with Hugh Fitzcairn from Highlander at 80 questions(and the character is not in his DB.)

 

Of interest:

 

 

This one took 50+, and was played 102 times

 

 

Stumped him at 80 again with Lance from "Silent Ponyville"

 

He couldn't guess the Colt from the same fic either, but it is in his DB, so I'm going to guess "lack of data"

 

He predictably got this one in under 15, but I did it just for fun anyway

 

 

Almost hit 40 here, he gave two wrong guesses(I'm amazed how fast we bronies work)
