gaming Games you're terrible at, but still love to play

For me it's the Souls games. I'm without a doubt the worst player at these games. Granted I have beaten them. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. But these are games I need to be clear minded to play, I also cannot play this game after having a bad day at work or something.

I beat bosses like the Flamelurker without cheating and can level out great in the beginning.  just have no patience or skill. Today in my new Dark Souls run. played 7 hours and beat

asylum demon(obvious, I'm not a retard this guy's catatonically easy)

Taraus Demon(no ladder trick)

Capra Demon(****** dogs and camera)

Gargoyles, without Solaire summoning

Gaping Dragon(the 2nd boss I didn't die on)

Got better at parrying, but still get killed.

I just loves the games. The story, atmosphere and lore.. It's just an attractive series of games.

Dark Souls...

I haven't even played it for more than 5 minutes in the games and I'm stuck as all hell.

I suck at it, but it's supposed to be good, so I'll suppose I'll tough through it.

I'm also bad at Super Hexagon and I'm average at Super Meat Boy, but some levels are just 'no'.

Dark Souls. Once I get past Quelaag (The spider bitch), I usually fall apart. I'm ok fightin' the monsters but once I get lost, I get concerned. Plus the random invasions, i'll never go to the forest ever again.

It's kind of hard to say. I feel like I'm pretty average at most of the games I play. I often say that I'm not very good at fighting games, good enough to beat someone who just started playing but probably not anyone who plays regularly.

The one game that stands out is Arcana Heart 3. Maybe the friends I played against were just really good, but I was always getting wrecked in that game.

Battlefield 4. Surprisingly, I was really great at Battlefield 3 but once the sequel to the game came out I didn't get used to the new controls in the multiplayer only in the campaign it was a cake walk.

Same here. It may just be because I've only played BF4 for a month or two now, but I was so much better at BF3. I guess I have to get used to the maps, and the occasional glitches such as going into the ground, and for some reason being unable to pick up the special weapons. (50 cal. sniper)

Can't say I'm terrible in hack n' slash, but I'm not pretty good either. The only one I played in the highest difficulty setting is Lords of Shadow so far. Though, I'm going to try it at Lament of Innocence too

I'm glad I'm not alone here. In BF3, I had so many service stars and the maps were so easy to get used to. I only played BF4, to see if it was any good.

Dota 2- OMG this game! It takes time to learn to play it, I deleted it then came back to it so many times but I eventually got the hang of it somewhat, if you find me on Steam I am Slingwing

I'm in a weird place with Super Smash Bros. where I'm generally superior to any casual player but I also can't make any headway when playing competitively.  So there's that.

Most shooters in general I'm pretty terrible at.  I don't invest much in the genre but the times in high school when I would get together with friends and play Halo 2 were a blast anyway.

A Link Between Worlds might qualify too.  I died at least once to almost every boss playing through that game.  And I did actually get stumped on one really easy puzzle.

This doesn't really apply to me. No matter what it is, I don't really enjoy doing anything I'm not good at, or am never going to be good at. I think I'm finally starting to understand Dashie. -_-

To answer the question, I guess Pokemon X, in a way. I'm not interested in playing competitively, I'd rather use the Pokemon I actually like. Not to mention, I played through it with my younger brother and he picked both Fennekin and Charmander, even though I tried to explain to him why it was a bad idea. >_>

All kind of strategy games, I just love the sensation of directing a huge military apparatus (insert the Major's "I love war" speech here). Everything from Grand Strategy to Stronghold. That being said, my preferred method of slowly building up my forces before methodically grinding the enemy to dust means that against any human player I usually get rushed while setting up my economy and unceremoniously killed off within 10 minutes.
