So, who all was sad about Manning?

Lol I laugh at Peyton Manning.

And I am still unhappy that the Pats lost the super bowl.

A pats fan... That explains it.

Financially, it's a good move for the Colts. From what I hear he was still due for 40 million+...

I heard it was only like 35 mil. :P

I just don't see Luck being the next Manning.

Who's gonna get the second pick, aka RG3?

I don't believe the Luck hype. His senior year at Stanford wasn't all that elite as people seem to think he is. Then again, we won't really know until he steps onto an NFL field. Cam Newton had tons of detractors before the season started and he played his butt off to a Pro Bowl season.

I heard RGIII might go to the Browns despite them having McCoy.

As for Manning, I understand where the Colts are coming from. They want to revamp everything, their GM, their coach, their team. To truly rebuild, you need to have a young face to build around, not clinging onto the old guard. Manning is a big question mark with all his neck issues. He could go on to have 2-3 more great seasons or he can be finished in one hit *insert Saints bounty joke here* As a rebuilding franchise, the most important offensive position on the team can't be a question mark, much less an old one.

I think Football is an overrated sport who over payed players.

I think Rarity is an overrated pony

I'm still wondering about who the Packers are going to scoop up in the draft. I'd love to see them pick up some corners, D-line and O-line.

RGIII is already miles ahead of McCoy already. No disrespect to McCoy of course, but the combination of speed, arm strength, size and play-action ability on his part should be a no brainer for Cleveland, a team in need of a franchise player in a long while now.

I didn't expect the Colts to keep him around much longer anyways, He'll be fine. :P

I prefer Eli, anyways (:

Manning signed:

"A five-year deal for $90 million, or $18 million a year -- equal to what New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is making." This was current as of July 2011, so yeah.. he was due a lot more. As a Manning brothers fan, I think that while this was unfair, it had to be done to Peyton, the nature of his injuries is going to make it hard for him to ever play to his full potential again.

That being said, I do wish Luck.. well lots of luck in his endeavor to fill the shoes that Manning left behind. After all, it was his wins and the combined efforts of the team that helped build that stadium fans now plop their kiesters in.

Ohhh that's what happened on my phone. I pressed your post to report you but it turned into a checkmark so I was like ?_? then I clicked it again and it went back to an X.

But yeah, get that stuff out of here. We wanna talk football and you added nothing of substance to this topic. So yes, subconsciously I liked your post just to unlike it >_>

Back to the topic at hand, where's Peyton gonna end up? I believe Miami even though they still won't do much with him as QB. I'd rather see Matt Flynn go to Miami to hook back up with his OC from GB who is now the new HC of Miami. Denver could surprise some people and snatch up Manning.

There was nothing wrong with my post. The topic title says American football. I gave my opinion on American football.

Yeah, I agree with you, buy I love McCoy AND RGIII.

I'm conflicted. :P

Eli over Peyton? D=

I like em both, but as a Cowboys fan, it's hard to cheer for NYG sometimes

I kinda think Peyton should retire, especially if he gets hurt again. He's been out of action so long I wonder if he'll still be able to be the quarterback he used to bed?

As for Football itself...I played in high school. xD

I think he'll come back and be the same ol Peyton.

I think he ends up in Miami, or Arizona.

It will definitely be interesting to see who gets Peyton... Which team could use a player like him the most?

Every team that isn't Dallas, New York Giants, New Orleans, Green Bay, and New England. =P

What will happen: Patriots sign Manning as a back-up so nobody else can have him. He and Brady switch off snaps, and also take turns playing the 3rd TE.

JOHN MADDEN FOOTBALL

But really, Peyton Manning is a pretty cool guy. eh is quarterback and doesn't afraid of anything. I can't really picture him in any other team's uniform, and he is getting old (for someone who plays football. Which is pretty young), so I'm thinking, if anything, he'll get a one year contract (I won't speculate with who), and maybe retire after that. Or he could go all Brett Favre on our asses, who knows.

If the Ravens had Manning, they could probably win the Super Bowl next year.

Well the Skins got RGIII, and still has a lot of cap room... NFC East now has four teams who can win more than 6 games.

I really love this handegg sport you frail humans keep talking about. Ingenious running around on a field carrying an egg shaped object in ones hands. Simply delightful.

I am kidding of course. I have no idea how this game works, except that it involves very little foot and very little ball. And looks a lot like rugby but is not.
