Should I watch Equestria Girls

So I haven't watched Equestria Girls yet and based on all I've heard about people hating it I was wondering if it was worth the watch.

I watched it knowing it was there to sell humanized dolls of the ponies (essentially with low expectations) and honestly wasn't disappointed. The songs were really good, the story was pretty predictable though. High school girls, mean girl, but wait she's a pony not human, hijinx ensue. For what it was, I enjoyed it, but as a part of the pony universe, not so much. I guess I would recommend that you watch it just so you can say you did and so that you have your own opinions about it.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. A friend of mine got it and loaned it to me. I probably won't buy it unless I find it in a bargain bin at some point, but I enjoyed the time I spent watching it.

UPDATE: I just watched it and I'm glad I did, I can see why people don't like that the movie is mostly not in pony form, but beside that I really liked the movie. I guess that's an unpopular opinion :3

Personally, I really liked Equestria Girls. The movie is good fun to watch yeah the story wasn't the best but it has some great music and was pretty funny at times I would recommend watching it if you like the show already.

I have seen all of the episodes of the show, I was just hesitant at first based on the reviews I had seen by people in the community.

Umm not really I saw the first response and then I realized what does it hurt if I watch it, I mean say I hated it, it wouldn't have detracted from me liking the main show so I said what the hay

If you're a huge fan of MLP, you should give it a shot. It's not the best movie but it's not the worst either. It's a decent watch.

It's a solid movie in my opinion, although its sequels are better across the board. I never quite understood the disdain for it, honestly. If you're really curious, I'd say go for it, couldn't hurt. The most you stand to lose is, like, seventy minutes.

I think everyone who is a fan of this show should at least inform themself objectively and give it a try, Maybe you like it or maybe you don't. Who knows. But there is only way to find out. You can assume it's bad and never try it. That would be totally fine, cause this your and only your choice. But maybe you oversee something you would love and miss out on so much in your life. 

My personal opinion about EqG:

It's not bad but FiM is way better. But I'm heavily biased on this cause I really don't like the art style (and therefore EqG has not the cuteness which Ponies bring), I'm not a fan of a highschool setting and I definitely prefer the fantasy world of FiM. BUT EqG is full of the same positivity as FiM. Granted the first EqG lacks a lot of polish (at least in my opinion) but later one get a lot better. There are also more and more Pony parts in later ones. Sons are equally good. But the numbering/naming of EqG is confusing xD

I don't see what the problem with it is, so watch it if you want.

 

Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games are probably the best ones though.
