Okay I just got back on, and I see that they're all there including a vote for all? What's going on? This seems pretty lame now, no epic final 1 vs 1 match

Things did get a little hectic last night with shots being fired at not just the ponies but members themselves.

 

I'll admit, it was definitely an intense match last night.

I'm sorry, but I find it slightly annoying that some of you guys are forgetting that there's another competition in the works this summer. Where there WILL be an actual 1v1 Final that occurs on the SAME day as the FIFA World Cup Final!

What I don't understand is why there is an option to vote for all characters, which is completely pointless if you think about it, considering the fact that if you give a vote to every character, it literally changes nothing in terms of the voting results.

 

It's obviously there for the Rarity fans, to show her element of generosity

For the record, I officially criticize the decision to throw out last night's votes and make the final match a four-way. If this decision was at all based on some of the poor sportsmanship that occurred last night, well, I can understand where all the hurt feelings would crop up. But to call mulligan on the entire thing just because a small minority decided to make some tasteless jokes? Instead of just taking the high road, ignoring the trolls and letting things progress naturally? THAT has officially ruined this tournament for me, personally. It seems like a cheap measure intended to punish the rowdy few in a way that slaps all of us who voted last night in the face.

Such a shame the way things ended here though. I heard about all the vitriol being spread around in this thread. I had such similar happenings occur during the Qualifying Stages (before the World Cup) but I got a mod to sort things out. I hope it doesn't happen again next year...

I don't really have a problem with the "All characters" option, but I'm not certain why it is that we can't still vote on each match-up separately. The rest of the competition was done in pairs, now it's a Battle Royale? That just seems inconsistent to me.

I agree with Solarfox. As much as I hate to say it, we need to still go 1-on-1.

 

This I unfair to both Pinkie AND rarity, because now the two who were SUPPOSED to go against one another are leading in all around votes.

Can we please redo the Final Four? The new system takes the fun out of the tournament, and it's unfair to all those who fought passionately for their ponies. Yeah, people took it way too seriously last night, but it's ultimately supposed to be in good fun. Where's the fun now? The March Madness is an MLPF tradition, and this one is (by far!) our most active yet. It'd be a shame for all that passion to go to waste. 

 

If you ask me, one-on-one is still the way to go, and I urge you to return to that format.

I do think we need to redo this. This is a very awkward system of things, especially with the new "everypony" option. Seems kinda strange and unfair to those of us who are trying to get some good votes for our ponies. A lot of people I hear left after last night and didn't get to vote today.

In all seriousness, there should be a ban for insulting characters so harshly and even comparing them to Nazi.

Of course, I'm not the Mod, so I can't decide about things like that, but honestly, people crossed the line here. It's just a suggestion, of course, since I don't want to influence decisions of Moderators and it's not my place to decide about things like that.

As I sit here relaxing and see that AJ has the lead, I know that the final result will be inevitable and congratulate her on the win. As for all the other ponies, it's been a good race. Too bad Flutters couldn't get the win, but the ponies have spoken.

Also, guys, we were all just joking yesterday. Nobody was taking it seriously, it makes no sense to ruin the whole thing over that. Maybe some people went too far with the jokes (and I'd probably be included in that if people really took it seriously), but there was no real drama.   The whole competition is ruined now that the votes were deleted. It doesn't even matter who wins anymore.  :okiedokielokie:
