I think only one's ever touched me on a level that deep, and it wasn't an MLP fic... Sorry, I'm just rarely if ever impressed by MLP fanfics for some reason. A recent fic I read called From The Mouths of Fillies. was a very sad fic. I'm not going to say anything about it since I don't want to spoil it. Then the fic Saying Goodbye. which also takes place during the other one. The ending made me sad for a while. Nine 707 March 12, 2014 Share March 12, 2014 I guess I can't venture a real opinion about depressing fanfics because I avoid them, but I did knuckle under and read My Little Dashie a couple years ago, and .. I still don't know why it got to be as popular as it did. I thought the writing was almost unendurably bad .. but I seem to be in a scant minority with this opinion. Oblivion 20,267 March 13, 2014 Share March 13, 2014 I read the fan fic called "Gutterloo," It was LITERALLY the saddest thing I think I have ever read, even more sad the the famous "My little Dashie", it beat it by a long ways IMO , it;s not even THAT popular of a fan fic, but it deserves to be! I think that's mainly because it's hard for things to depress me, though. For a comedy/adventure/slice of life, its more depressing than anything I've ever read as we are 700 chapters in and every time we get CLOSE to the AppleDash happening...our hopes are thrown to the wind and everything comes crashing down. And Dashie has a disability in it which makes it worse ---< Fanfic Writer, Music Maker, Film Director and Voice Actor >--- Don't expect anything incredible though! I've read a few sad ones - Simply Rarity, for example - and wrote one when I was feeling really depressed, but I do tend to be partial to happy endings.
