movies/tv What sort of documentaries do you enjoy?

I tend to enjoy just about any kind

From history to supernatural to biographical and even science

There's something I really like about learning while watching things

I sort of suspect the scenes, even if they're only acted out, that make the information easier for me to obtain

If you don't like documentaries, why not?

What kinds have you tried watching?

I don't really watch documentaries much but I do plan on eventually getting into them. When I do watch them, it usually has to do with the supernatural or something scientific-related, namely how the brain works and such.I find them to be rather interesting.

I love to learn. I love all kinds of documentaries. The other day I actually watched a really interesting documentary on the coelacanth and how the fish everyone though had gone extinct made a sudden reappearance and how it had remained virtually unchanged for millions of years. Cool stuff :D

I refuse to let go until you're impressed.

I am obsessed with Documentaries.  Most documentaries i watch are:

Science (Astronomy)

History (Ancient Archeological History, as well as US history and European history)

Military (I love to watch certain war histories, b/c I'm always curious on who started it as well as the number of conspiracies).

As for myself, primarily historic, or possibly natural world/animal documentaries.

Though, honestly I enjoy a vast variety of topics.

I remember watching quite a few of whatever I could find while also playing Minecraft on the other half of the screen--having both together was an awesome way to spend down time. :)

I mostly stick with the History Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery and so forth. It's documentaries involving science, gangs, wars, historical events etc.

I watched the old National Geographic documentaries growing up, then came Discovery Channel, A&E Biography and TLC, I began to watch Robert Ballard's discovery the Titanic, German battleship Bismarck, investigation of the Lusitania, search for the warships of Midway and Guadalcanal, from there on now I am fond of documentaries, I always enjoyed history, anthropology, political science, military science and history, natural and environmental science, now I am watching Jered Diamond as he reports on the state of the globe.

Supernatural documentaries are my absolute favorite

I watched a few recently on The Amityville Horror that I found to be quite interesting

That is fascinating! I'm not sure what that is, but maybe I can find the documentary to learn about it too haha

Well my fav o all was the brony doc of course. Other than that, I like the mystery kinds that really make u think abou what u already know, or what u don't know.

That documentary is amazing! I watched it one night to fall asleep, ended up watching the whole thing haha

It was surprisingly easy to follow being as I hadn't seen much of the show prior too it

and it actually helped me understand why the show has such a big following ^^

I'm not particularly picky about documentaries. I just hate when they repeat information I've heard a hundred times from other places. I watch them to learn new things. :'(

I sometimes like to watch documentaries on the same/similar subjects so I can sort of compare information

as well as remember it better haha

Similar subjects is one thing, but having the same info as another makes it lame if I don't learn anything from it. :P

Mostly dealing with weird stuff like the paranormal or unsolved crimes.

Those are both very fascinating

I remember when I used to watch A Haunting and Cold Case Files on television all the time! I wonder why they don't really air those anymore ;m;
