Gonna be an interesting experience on April 3rd and possibly 4th at BABSCon even if I don't end up enjoying it. I'll be wearing my Maud Pie t-shirt with the fact that many forum members here who are attending know that Maud Pie is my favorite pony. Anyways, here are a couple of Maud Pie pictures:

I can relate to her. Years ago when i was all in books and was feeling nirvana on relaxing calm music, i was... like.. no emotions. Like i had no trouble enjoying stuff like movies etc,, but i was like too calm... more than normal when people talked to me, i would just sorta be blank and say... oh.. yeah.

 

I am glad she has a good sister like Pinkie.

Maud is a relatable character for me as well. Mainly because she literally shows almost all the symptoms of someone with Asperger's Syndrome like myself.

 

We both share these traits:

 

1. Responds to social interactions but does not initiate them.

 

2. Difficulty of understanding or disregarding the rules of conversation

 

3. Gives spontnaeous comments that have no relation to the current situation.

 

4. Makes comments that are both honest and inappropriate.

 

5. Prefers to be alone and aloof. (Not quite the case with me but I do hate being around alot of people at a time)

 

6. Lack of interest or awareness in what's going on around us.

 

7. Talks excessively about one or two topics. (In her case it's rocks but in my case it's anime and videogames)

 

8. Minimally acknowledges others.

 

9. Unusual behavior patterns ex. sniffing, licking etc.

 

10. Fascination with rotation

 

11. Difficulty maintaining friendships

 

12. Abnormal use of pitch, intonation, rhythm, or stress in certain vowel sounds when speaking.

 

13. Play is often repetitive.

 

14. Desires comfort items (In her case it's rocks but in my case it's my 2DS)

 

15. Exceptionally high skills in certain areas but extremely low skills in others. (In her case she's apparently good at everything though and in my case I'm not good at anything...)

 

16. Difficulty understanding figures of speech, jokes, or sarcasm. (I think I'm fairly good at it though)

 

17. Often quotes movies or videogames etc.

I see the ponies have weaker intellect than humans, they looks childish. But they have strong herd instinct and 3-4 ponies together will be smarter than one human. Only alicorns have stronger and more individual intellect and are more similar with human. When Twily was unicorn, she talks only about books and learning, after becoming to alicorn, her minds and interests turns wider.

 

I think Maudie is pretty and cute pony like others, she are just quiet and low-key like Fluttershy, but brave and strong like Applejack. Her character just not opened fully at that episode.

I'm sorta like that. Only in my case it's if I don't know someone very well I act more like Maud. But once I get to know them and get close to them I act more like Pinkie Pie.
